      Dear Naveen,
I drive around with D390, am happy about it. I have been following this thread since beginning. Your rebuild is driving me nuts. Have now resorted to looking up olx every now and then. Plz don't make me sell my D390, it has juz 5k clicks on odo. Your teaser video has stirred a hornet's nest, don't know what I will do, a CGT or RD or should I keep my D390 Will try n hang on for the moment, hope you don't release any such teasing videos again. Let me enjoy my bike.

thanks much for the wonderful line ,, honestly i am forgetting all the pain, struggle,, number of miles i have travelled ,, people i have troubled asking questions, seeking help for folks across the world, all that was in my mind is build an RD like its just out of the factory line in late 70's, may be all i can do as a 2stroke lover is to give life they best way and i am sure this thread has inspired at-least few folks encouraged to keep the 2strokes alive forever... i definitely do not want to read about 2stroke in my old age rather have one n Smoke around hahahah

D390 is such a power pack brother ,, u have parts,,service stations,, easy to maintain,, keep her for general ride,, yes if u get a change pick up an rd its one of a kind,, and let me also say this ,, I NEVER RODE AN RD350 TILL NOW.. THE BIKE I GOT IS NOT IN A SHAPE TO RUN WHEN I PICKED IT UP<< AND I DID NOT WANT TO RIDE ANY RD JUST BECAUSE I WANT MY BIKE TO GIVE ME THE FIRST FEEL ,, MORE LIKE FIRST KISS

Thumbs up to your passion and efforts bro. Waiting to see how the royally done aka rd 350 finally turns out to be. I have ridden one, except for the brakes, everything else is phenomenal. It blows the current competition to dust. Once you are done with your project kindly provide me the cost break up, will see if my wallet permits me to take up such adventure

Sure i will, share the information. i have been maintaining an excel sheet with every penny spent , regarding the breaking part i have heard the same for many Rd owners who upgraded to disk break set up, most of them are from the P220. in my case i was keen about the looks and do not want any thing which can take the looks off,, and 70's is the era for disk break technology to go up scale.. so got one all the way from USA

Hello Naveen, This is one of the special and an amazing builds available in XBHP, which made most of us Yamaha, RD, 2 strokers fans to get hooked to the thread. The music in the background of the video is what I hear when I reach the end of the thread every time, like praying: "God please don't end it soon, let there be more updates." This is one such build which made most of us to come back and check every now and then to check for updates (like we used to check our exams results during the days of 2 KBPS in browsing centers). Let your patience, sweat, tears, et al. give you one fine build of lifetime

                Cheers!

I don't want to paint the Indian Rd tank and make it look like US Spec , the tank that came on Indian rd is different from the US- spec Rd . I want to keep it as close as possible to the Original stuff, here it comes One of the most awaited, all the way from Walkertown, North Carolina, United States. built 1973

All original , never painted . Factory paint with the emblems, Fuel tap and

both the keys ,before the tank was sprayed with clear coat

Tank is treated with antirust coat in the United States and then got shipped

                            to INDIA

Did not want to disturb the Factory paint,, as I know the struggle I have gone through to get the tank all the way from United Stated to INDIA ,, expert painter inspected and accepted my request,, got the clearcoat sprayed

I have a question for you, can we import spare parts from abroad? Last time when I heard used spares are not allowed by the customs. Can we import an entire engine kit? New or used? Is there any work around? For example can I import used bonnie engine to india? Can we use e-bay for such deals? Kindly clear me of this confusion.

I have paid a fortune as customs duty, you cannot import Engine as a whole, however you can get parts. to my knowledge many have tried and struggling with customs and the duty we have to pay is seriously mad.. for example for the tank I have paid close to Rs7000/- .
