Boosted with vitamin M. Some more updates.. Received zinc and chrome plated parts.. Didn't wanted to waste any parts.. Tried to plate whatever parts that can be reused like even petrol tank cap😜

Petrol Tank is little rusted inside as not used after painting for around four years.. Tank outside paint is good.. Is there any method to cure rust without affecting paint..

Paper gasket comes as a part of packing kit. Though I'm not sure about the OE packing kit, it does exist with after market spares.
100% agreed on your proposal to use liquid / gel gaskets instead.

That's quite a difficult job to remove the rust completely. Better to go for a brand new tank considering the consequences.

In the parts catalog there is no chamber packing so its not there in oe kits. Yes, i agree that they come in non oe kits. Even for other bikes its the same. My shogun engine had a chamber packing. While rebuilding when we ditched it and fit the gb, it did not turn freely, then we discovered that the previous mech put extra washer in the gb shafts to compensate for the packing. Weird ppl these mechs are.

Like Bibhu pointed out paper gasket should not be used, and like most mechs do anabond should not be used to seal the clutch case with a paper gasket, however most mechs do.

There is an acid available here in Trivandrum(800/5liters) and it needs to be mixed with equal part water and just fill the tank with it and leave the tank overnight. It eats all the rust and you would be left with a very clean metal surface inside the tank. its also paint friendly. However if you don't seal the tank with a tank sealer it causes pinholes.

Long story short, get a new tank
