Complelety stripped down the chasis removed all the nuts and bolts, the condition of the nuts and bolts are not ok. Collected all the nut, bolts, screws and shaft and send it for zink plating.Click image for larger version

I need your inputs out of your experience. I given the frame for powdercoat, is it advisable to clear laquar coat on a newly powdercoated chasis. A friend of mine who runs a shop of powdercoating has no idea regarding the subject hence here on this forum i asked for your experience.

Cleaned all the framepart to bare metals. Used paint remover and removed all the paint from the parts. Using different grit sandpaper sandblasted entire frame and parts at home so i can assure myself the good afterlife of frame and paint. Its realy a tough job required lot of patience and that too at home [emoji33]. All the members of family passes hate comments like mother says"what the hell you are doing with this scrap? go to roadside and start some scrapyard that will definately earn you some money." wife says Are you mad and if you require some money i will give you to purchase brand new sportsbike but stop this nonsense at home.

Great job, You are much faster than I anticipated, keep up the pace, The swing arm will loose its bushes in the oven while powder coating, I suggest you get that part alone painted and clear coated. installing new bushes after powder coating will ruin the finish.

Cleaned degreased engine casing, removed rims from front and rear. cleaning of hubs is also a challenging job took seven hours straight with only natural breaks, really exhausted after this but when work finished felt good but hall of my home looks like lil wksp.Click image for larger version

Required some suggetions on building wheels front and rear.
OE spokes are not available anymore. OE Rims are readily available.Which rims are good oe tvs or hero, i heard hero rims are better, wt are your views? Can i use tvs rims and hero or other brand spokes.

Hello, from what I am told TVS OE rims were best in class. My 1999 Samurai has Adeep brand rims that have starting a few rust specks recently due to poor storage in humid conditions. I have sourced stainless Steel spokes with brass nipples from a guy in Pune and got them installed 6 months back. No fear of rusting now, and they are a bit thicker than stock hence needed a bit of tinkering to install.

I would differ with srikany, as per my experience Hero Rims are better quality and they are build to last. The spoke will be available at most of the shops and Yamaha rx spokes should fit, you can get a confirmation from your wheel Trueing guy. If you have not damaged your old spokes in the removal process, I suggent get them zinc dipped and fix them back.

You just beat me by a second. Enjoy what you bought.
