@Frank:- I'm able to see the spec picture uploaded above, however, it is too small to read. Can you increase the size of the pic or provide a description?

Supra (11BHP) was an RX100 challenger?

          Then WTF was Shogun doing?

I am quite sure there were some more models in between Supra ------> Shogun !!!!!! And TVS were like, oh Jesus, finally we did it!!!!!!

It took these many models to finally beat an RX100.

And now after ~ 26Yrs of RX100's existence, it still rocks. I have had many instances where people haven't heard of Shogun, but they have heard of samurai.

Sorry to all suzuki 2T fans here, but IMO Shogun can never be compared with RX, heck none of the suzuki 2Ts in India can be compared to entire RX series. LOL

P.S 1: I like Shogun, but its just that RX is just that bit better. Ummmaaah.

P.S 2: None of the Yamaha Bikes launched were specifically targetted towards any particular bike. On the other hand it is TVS who have been copying other manufacturer's trend. I thank my lucky stars that they dint come up with Bruce Lee 360 (Direct Competition to RD350 with 10cc more, remember Shogun had 10cc more than RX100) & Kapache TTR16 (Direct Competition to R15, again with 10cc more & this time with actual liquid cooling & not f*****g oil cooled!!!!). Man TVS sucks big time, its about time they come out of a product which is original (remember they ran into trouble with TVS Flame with DTSi engine!!!! ROFL). In lot of ways Bajaj is much better.

P.S 3: We all know the drag racing scene, TVS gets beaten black & blue by Yamaha Privateers, which is a universally accepted fact.

@ Frank sir - Super upload!

            @KARTHIK -

Supra (11BHP) was an RX100 challenger?
----- Yes it was an RX challenger and was known as SUPRA Power-up.

            Then WTF was Shogun doing?
-----Shogun came after the Supra buddy when RX was already seeing red!

I am quite sure there were some more models in between Supra ------> Shogun !!
----- No. Shogun was derived from Supra Power-up.

It took these many models to finally beat an RX100.
----- It took only one model to beat the RX and its still the SHOGUN .

And now after ~ 26Yrs of RX100's existence, it still rocks. I have had many instances where people haven't heard of Shogun, but they have heard of samurai.
----- Thats because the Shogun was never meant for such people. It was special! many of such ignorant guys were prolly kids playing in their moms lap ! and Samurai bcos maybe their dads or uncles had one.

Sorry to all suzuki 2T fans here, but IMO Shogun can never be compared with RX, heck none of the suzuki 2Ts in India can be compared to entire RX series.
-----Yes, it still cannot be compared to the RX.

I have ridden many RX100s and modified 135s but as soon as i ride a stock Shogun, i forget everything! The torque, the feel.. Its like its always in the powerband.

Dunno much about Drags but back in Indian Motocross heydays, the 16bhp Supra engine plonked on a SUZUKI RM chassis gave a tough fight to Bikes like Yamaha YZ, Honda CR , Suzuki RMs etc. in the open class. and the Supra always won the Indian class competing with heavily modded RX100s . When the SHOGUN was launched, it simply dominated the Indian Rally scene and wiped away its competitors.

P.S- These are my personal opinions and facts witnessed by myself . Not to be taken otherwise.

              I agree with you 100%...

Yet, it is amazing to see an RX100 being modded by privateers v/s a factory TVS team going at least neck and neck ....

I have seen the TVS factory team bikes up close in the Pits at the mumbai drag races ... and it really is a professional job ... remember, factory teams have UNLIMITED resources !!!

Even after the Shogun came and took the crown from the RX, people still like the RX, not for what she did, but for HOW she did it!!!!

Of ALL my bikes, I would rate my RX100 the best bike ever ...

For me, in India motorcycling perfection was achieved in 1985-86 in the RX100!!

              Simply love that bike!!!

Sorry doc, even i have ridden many 2-strokes. Nothing turns me on except the RX135 5-Speed, that too modified. After riding a blown RX, if i ride a Shogun, it feels like riding a Hero Puch. Sorry, but i dont feel any powerband opening & closing at all on a stock shogun!!!!!

On an RX its a different story. Modified or not, you feel the kick of powerband each & every time you ride it. After all we are all addicts of 2Ts cause of the kicks. I don't think without kicks one would get addicted to anything in this world, be it Dope, Women & what not!!!!!

Im sure you have ridden more two strokes than me but i can also bet you have not at all ridden a factory condition Shogun leave alone a 16 bhp Rally Shogun . So i wouldnt like to discuss more on this.

I have owned the RX100, the RX135 and the Shogun all new from the showroom so please dont think i am biased on any particular model. The Shogun is anytime a more fun bike.

                              +1 @ BigBore and Yamdoot

I own rally Ind Suzuki Ax100 and rally Supra, both modified for rallies by suzuki and my dad for rallies back in late 80s. Have owned shogun too (stolen).

I have driven many bikes, including yamaha RX, and I have changed the minds of many rx believers by letting them ride my dad's rally AX100. RX100 is nice bike, but there is a totally different breed of riders who love Shogun over RX. And thats a reason, why Shogun is a rare collectors bike now. Im have hard time finding a good shogun or shoalin these days, whereas I have found many rx100 at nice price. And I remember, how suzuki bikes ridden by Jagat won all rallies n dirt events back when rx100 and supra were top bikes and continued to win with future suzuki bikes and still does win dirt events with shoalin bikes by tvs racing.

I live abroad in Canada, and have driven bikes here too and personally own Honda xr200r and YZ250f in Canada. But nothing has scared the crap out of me like Supra and Shogun did. Im still scared to take the Supra out...trust me...I got huge balls, but it still scares the living hell out of me.

And that was one of the reason why I came back here after 5 yrs for few days....to enjoy my old bikes.

Hey welcome to the forum Nikhil! Nice to hear your story! Its only experienced people who can vouch for Suzukis.. newbies know only about RX coz there are so many out there.

Please do post some pics of your bikes. We all would love to see them!

P.S- Why a 250f? Im sure the 2stroke YZ is more fun machine. Enjoy your Suzukis while you are here.
