He purchased it for Rs 14,000 and it was brought from Nellore. My dad used to be in Sales and had covered about 1.5 Lac Kilometers in Hyderabad and Delhi. I have deep memories with this bike since I used sit on the tank. I especially used to love the lights on top of the speedometer. To my memory there were dedicated right and left turn indicator lights, neutral light, high beam light and oil light. The handle lock was on the right hand of it and best feature of it was the facility to lock the helmet!
I also loved the aluminium clutch and front brake levers. After about 8 years the speedometer needle broke away and I remember asking him about it and he said that it was one of the common problems of this and he did bother to replace it
Even before I could start learning to ride this motorcycle my dad had to sell it off in 1998 as we had financial crisis at home. But my love for Ind-Suzuki has never died. Always wanted to ride this bike and now I have asked my dad to hunt for our same bike. Yes I used to see our bike that we sold in Hyderabad when I was in my 10th class. But it was no longer in that stock condition, he had modified it and looked more like the Max100R. We will now be trying to re- buy this bike, yes the same bike if we try to find that person. But my question is would we get the emblems of Ind-suzuki and the tank and colour as what it was earlier in the market?

..If so ..on those days Takasago from japan was the OEM wheel rim supplier for Suzuki, Yahama, Honda and Kawasaki bikes. Now days you wont get these stuff... this all came along with CKD kits.
I rode it for another 80,000 kms in 7 years. Fond memories of all the gallivating around Madras during my college years. Had to send it back home when I moved to Bangalore. By then my dad had stopped riding and we didn't want to let her rot with no one to ride it, so we sold her. It's been 12 years now but I still wonder what happened to her.
