Great idea; Sri - here I come

Araey boss, I tested even without air filter, if that's the case, then it should've behaved properly right? But it didn't. Then how come the TM28 was working fine all these years or atleast just before the build?

I guess some part is worn out or something like that; can you guess anything apart from airscrew or idle screw? Did you have a chance to watch the video Psycho?

Update - No issues with air screw or I don't know if there's one. But the work turned out something different totally.

The part turned out to be fake one & after changing to the 15T, WOW, what a smooth ride? I've never experienced such a smooth ride before in my Rx.

Anyway, for the sputtering part, the issue remains the same as what I posted in the video. Its getting horrible & feel very irritated to ride on it. I need to take it to a mechanic I guess unless someone throws an exceptional idea. What more should I do with the carb? Should I get a stock carb & ditch the TM28?

Here's the fake part that served me for several years...

Thats correct Krthik. These days i never call back again as im in no hurry to sell any of my parts. I know what they are worth and the worth will keep on increasing as the spares around dry up.
This im talking about only RX and Suzuki parts. I have not even showcased my RD spares coz i know there are only a selected few in India who would actually be buying them.

There is a saying in Kannada "Bogola Nayi Kacchod illa", meaning a "Barking dog never bites", vice-versa also true. So there are many who just talk around tons & tons of crap over the phone, but when it comes to purchasing they mew like kittens.

    Update
I somehow feel the culprit is not the jet; after updating here, I'd some time left, so I replaced the 165 with 180 mains & gave a try. But to my surprise the sputtering (same as video) continued & I could barely touch 60 Kmph at 5th gear beyond which the engine shuts off. I get a feeling that too much of air is getting mixed or too little fuel is flowing.

I really went mad & disconnected the air filter; which means, the other end of carb is not connected to the air filter box; but the same sputtering & engine shut offs continued. I know its foolish to try without air filter, but since the test was not even a KM, I gave it a try. Atleast now I'm confirmed that its not the issue with jet or with stock air filter; its got to do with something else

So I tend to believe its something else. This evening...
    1. I'm going to clean the entire carbs
    2. Check the condition of air screw

At this point, I strongly suspect the airscrew (remember the comet's sputtering & broken main jet?). Is there anything else I need to be looking at in addition to these? Pls advice gurus. Tks.

But the second plug didn't foul off!!! If I'm running rich & the plug is fouling, why didn't it occur with the 180 main jets? That's even more richer right? But the old plug lasted for atleast 3.8K Kms.

My gut feeling is, even 180 is right, there's something wrong somewhere else

Most of these guys once they hear about the price, they want to postpone because they cannot save on anything except expense on bike & we guys are just the opposite.

Can you guys believe? I haven't bought a single new cloth for past one year (that includes undergarments ) & have been living & breathing only on Rx.

I need to admit one more fact here; someone in our Rx community said they ride like "uncle" inside the city & have a blast on track. Not sure who it is, but that is 101% a right statement. Now days I'm more scared of someone damaging my ride than me actually falling down. Though I don't ride like "uncle", but staying triple cautious. The pain of watching those scratches & the unavailability of parts are the only nightmares!!!

Options - I guess you have 195/210/230 mains. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit - 180??? But Sri, the stock carb is 180 mains or did you mean anything more than 180?
