Yes, I've had a few punctures in the last 1 year since I fitted them but they have always been at the rear. Not once in the front tyre.

The grip and handling of the tyre is just superb. I have leaned my bike over more on this tyre than ever before.

You can go for the M35, M62 or the M45 (which I'm using). The 35 and 62 are new models and are cheaper than the 45.

I am using M45 on the rear wheel for an year now and I agree with BladeRunner w.r.t leaning. It makes me so confident to push it by that much in the corners you know.

So far haven't experienced any punctures.

@Bladerunner- How much psi are you running on?

I run 32 psi at the back and 24 in the front.

Guys.... I have been collecting the Rx100 spares so far and getting bad experience each day. So sad to tell you its true and I will open e new thread with explanations after restoring my bike.

My kind advice those who are really looking to restore RX100 bikes please always purchase in authorized retailers no intermediate persons and you will be out of pocket at the end. Yes they do talk very friendly and polite initial. You can't expect the genuine prices and they suck you like anything....damn

I am totally depressed and realized now for the prices I spent so far. I didn't hear the suggestion from my chennai friends initially and yelling now. So anyone willing to order the parts from some where out of your city or state check with your local xBxp friends first.

God bless them finally. Hope I will get my bike restored soon and come up with good pictures.

Don't take it to heart. What done is done, if you are depressed then you won't be able to enjoy the bike.

You should have approached Ganesh (aargee), Sriram (SriramEfunds), Ram (dualdisc) for guidance. That said, for critcal part like cylinder kit (135), you shouldn't regret paying a premium simply because it is unavailable.

For the 100, shop for spares in with an old YASS or a big spare parts dealer in bulk. That way you can get some discounts too

ohh...leave the past Jayakannan....Atleast you have learned a good lesson and please share your bitter experiences by starting separate thread without hurting any Xbhpians if any.

Even me too collecting parts for my RX100, they are not for a restoration in near future. But I'm afraid whether a situation will come for Rx100 too like RX-Z, 135 5 speed and all. I can see many dying for the spares of RX-Z and 135 5speed.

So if you have got a good collection of spares for your sweety don't get upset thinking about the amount you have paid and take care during the next deals.

Aah...! There you are Finally..:-) Was really amazed when you called me from US & spoke to me for an hour about the restoration...! Anyways, Sorry to hear about the bitter experiences you had and I bet every one who is new to two strokes that includes myself had a very hard lessons to learn and the outcome of that is what I'm now. Careful steps in what i take & i've drawn a line for my current restoration till Dec'12 so that the spares fall in the price tag that i want. In simple terms, you can get a spare for as low as 600 and also the same one for as high as 1600. It all depends on the demand you create..So, i would suggest you to leave past as past & start with the build now. If you're struck you can always call Sriram in ur city whereas in my case I'm struck all alone until I solve it myself... That also is fun in most of the cases.

P.S. If you're stuck with the 100 Spares then just think of me & others having 5 Speeders Jay...! It's like searching for Peugeot spares in India....

Rx 100 Spares will never die Sanjith... Rx 100 is a Global model that is sold across many parts of the world and which is still alive. Whereas the 135's are India specific & that is why you are seeing the spares die so..fast...! Just my thoughts though...! Yes, with regards to the Z, the prices are sky high....!

oops! before it creates a misunderstanding, I took yours and RG & Sriram's names because of the same location you guys are in. Otherwise, yup there are many knowledgeable members here. From Chennai/TN I could only think of these 3 names

That's not good to hear. Ok, there is something you can always feel better is that, you have procured RX100 parts all genuine stuff which is something is very good. Yes, RX spares are not available elsewhere, so sometimes you'll need to buy them with a premium. No questions about it.

How I approach is that, I don't feel lazy to pick up the phone and call around to find out about parts, for that matter, even travel around if let known. I see in your case is that you had been in US and that did not facilitate you to have many choices for your purchase. That's absolutely fine. There is no point in getting emotional over what happened earlier. Forget the past and look ahead. Money comes and money goes, best part is the moment of life which you should not miss to live!

Sharing bad experiences on a new thread will over shadow your restoration process and kill the joy. If that is what you want, go ahead!

So that all here including me will come to know which all points to be noted while going on with collecting parts. I think for sure he has got some points that can be shared which might be useful to all here. I mean to share useful info without hurting anyone. It will be much helpful to all 2strokers who all are looking for parts and you can prevent them not getting into troubles..

And you might have seen that I'm sharing info on prices of each parts that I have got in my thread. So that others can get to know the prices of parts and if I have paid a higher price than the true value others can guide me (I'm collecting 2/3 pcs of some parts). think Im little crazy??? hehe...

Yes, me heard the same words from the guy in YASS shop. He told me RX100 parts are getting exported to other countries from India, So there wont be any scarcity for RX100 spares in near future.

But anything can happen anytime. If anything goes wrong it will be a tedious task to save our dying machines then unless we have got spares in our rack.

^RX100 spares will be in demand even though YMIS have started supplying some parts. Remember they are catering to those who bought the bike last in 1996. The supply will be regulated or rather I say calculated. Extinction is inevitable but delayed for the moment.
