Which Oil is best for RX100 based on your experience ?

    1. Gear Box oil
    2. Premix Oil (side tank)

    Currently I am running

    1. Gear Box oil - Castrol
    2. Premix Oil (side tank) - yamalube 20W40 (going to put)

    please share your experince?
    I use

Gear Box oil - Castrol Magnatec
Premix Oil (side tank) Yamalube 2T(or castrol jetx, motul 2t etc....)

Premix Oil (side tank) - yamalube 20W40 (going to put), never use this oil in the side tank/premix. 20W40 is for gear box. you should use a good 2T oil instead

        Guys,

Initial silencer core sound was too high and my mech replaced with original core he had. But still am feeling that I am getting sound like 135 not the exact beat of RX100. So what i need to do?

Can i get the original sound of RX100 just by changing the new silencer along with bend pipe?

any one send me link for original Rx100 sound.

I really thanks to everyone for giving best suggestions.

Nope, replacing the silencer will not give you the characteristic RX100 sound. The internal 'flute'/muffler construction is different now compared to the ones that came along with the bike. Hence you get a muted/stifled exhaust note.

Your best bet is to locate one in scrap market.

With regards to the link, if you search a little you will get that on this forum I think

I thought was manufactured by Exon oil.

Yeah I filled the side tank oil with Yamalube 2T and stopped adding the mixture in petrol tank.

Thank god my side tank is working perfectly so initially when i bought the vehicle that time little oil was there in tank. Also added mixture in petrol tank .so the engine and gear shift was smooth.

After using only the side tank oil feeling little engine running hard and gear shift little hard.

I done 1K on speedo after the inner core of silencer changed and slowly getting the original sound.

Also check the 2T Oil flow in the carb. As the mixture of fuel and 2T Oil in a good proportion is a must for a good engine. SO get it checked brother

I would not advise to have both premix and autolube done. Since there are chances of excess oil might make the spark plug to foul.
Regularly check the carb for the oil flow from the side oil tank would work the best. Or doing away with the side oil tank and premixing.

Check the engine oil, might help to resolve the gear shifting issue.

                    Guys ,

Last week went to MMSC and met with XBhpians. It was lot of fun on the track i could see. I came back with my RX100 and I could reach 100 kmph on the Highway after I bought this.

I just want to know whether how much speed we can achieve on the RX100 with stock. Manual specifies 105 kmph I guess. Mine in second size bore and piston.

Also want to know that sleeve job on the bore will give more than this or not? want to check my rx00 bore sleeve job has done nicely or not..

                    Thanks,
                    Jay

Two Suggestions bro, Try not to max your bike, treat it gentle cause of her age and another one is try to get CEAT tyres (Dont know if they are really in the market even now) meant for it if possible since RXs are at it's best when they are with these compunds and moreover you being in pollachi you might need to go off road quite often and these tyres dont give you confident on these types of roads.

well the top speed claimed was 99kmph... so yeah 100 is possible.

a bigger bore and depending on the tune of the carb etc, could give you a higher rpm in top gear, which could increase the top speed.

Generally sleeving reduces the power, and increases the vibration of the engine due to unequal expansion of the sleeve and the cylinder block on heating. So you can expect close to top performance, with a lot of vibrations, and if the engine is not run in properly, you can expect issues with seizure etc as well.

Most Sleeve Jobs i have seen are CRAP & No way close to the Original Company Specs unless done by People Like Ron of RDD or Atul who know what they are doing.

^+1. One look at the workshop manual and you know why. Clearances are measured in microns and you need PROPER machinery to do that kind of high precision job. 99.99% workshops/technicians/grease monkeys don't have them.

Even with proper clearances and bad sleeve job, seizure will always be in your pocket. so please beware.
