1988 model RX100 - Bringing back to Glory

    As I mentioned in the earlier post, my bike is 1988 Escorts one.
    Is it possible to source the speedo meter with Escorts logo from anywhere in India. I am ready to bear all the expenses for that.

        I will put a picture of that if I get one.

        @Shivanshu: Is your RX 100 is Escorts? My question is in my RC book nowhere it is mentioned about Yamaha but Escorts

          Oops sorry man I read it in hurry and yes my RX is 1987 model and in RC its mentioned Escorts as Yamaha was selling its bike at that time through escorts. And about speedo of Escorts I think you need to contact JD, if he has one.

            ill check. The escorts yamaha models came with escorts written on the speedometer top. Later models had yamaha written on it.

            edit - I found the pics of the meter i had.. its lying in fbd... But its a rajdoot meter as you can see on the meter plate. If you want you can use the top of this meter ( the escorts part), and fit it to a RX100 meter, or use this meter directly.

            ALso of interest to RX100 guys - Original minda helmet lock with keys.

                Some update on the rebuild. Because there is some rust, the chassis given for painting. Also planning to change the silencer as it got some damages and can not be repaired.

                Some pics of the under seat.

                As you can see there is small welding done because there was a hole in the frame.

                        Hmmm...quite a bit of rust there. See if it is rusted too much near the joints.

                        What is it in the 3rd pic? A gas cylinder? Display of my comp is not proper.
                        A lone amateur built the ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic...

                            Usually, I store the pic on my comp and then use microshop photo editor...but these images were bitmap so...Lol!

                              Thanks Aryan for updating my thread title.

                              Update: I hope the bike came after repainting. My mechanic told he is going to collect the parts after painting. Hopefully I will be able to upload some pictures soon.
