Sorry pal, didn't notice it as the updates didn't bump up this thread; anyway, using a K&N the air intake will definetly be good, so you get a good mixture to the cylinder & you don't feel the cylinder begging; theory being said, if you expect a raise in atleast 1HP or more, then K&N is not what you should be looking for.

Is the model RC1060 is good for RX100 ?
I got to know from other people that this model can be used in RX and ZMA.

So if I get this model I can use it my both bikes

Not sure, what model is being used. I'm non believer of great performance improvement when it comes to cone air filters; to me it creates more trouble when washing the motorcycle, besides Chennai is highly polluted & I've to start cleaning the filter every other day. Anyway give me sometime like this evening, I'll ask my mech & post it here.

            Not good but worse

            Don't never ever use a k & n in 2 stroke bikes (RX 100) b'coz they r meant for 4 stroke bikes.Even you can't find RX 100 in K & N product vehicle compatibility section.

I've used it and the condition now i m facing that it has ruined my carburetor and service center guys at YAMAHA says that using this filter let dust to enter inside carburetor and cylinder which can also led to piston seizure.

Don't try k& n , ask here for UNI foam filters b'coz i have heard them before that they are good then k & n's in terms of using them in 2 stroke bikes.

            Rest is up-to you.

Thanks a lot for the details pals.

I also do not really want to use the K&N filter in my bike. But my mech told me, it will boost a little performance blah blah.. . That is why I posted it here to get additional information. I will talk to mech about this.

You can also go with the new M35 and M62 tyres from Michelin. I'm using the M45 and they are superb.

Stay away from the K&N. I have one lying with me at home. You will have to upjet and besides, the beaty of the RX-100 is the sound. The K&N will mess that up with its intake sound.

Keep the bike as stock as possible.

Thanks for the suggestion. I also think I will go with the original filter only.

Thanks. Is it the M45 tyre is little heavier than the other tyres of same dimension ?

I don't think it is heavier but it does have a speed rating of 180 km/h where as the other 2 have a rating of 160 km/h. I don't think you're ever going to be anywhere close to 160!

If I could do 100 KM/H in my home town, that would be great

RX100 monogram on RX135 looks little odd buddy. Correct me if I'm wrong, the seats are RX135's right? And is that a OE headlight?
