Guys am planning to buy an old second hand shogun , but some of my friends said that the parts of shogun are hard to find even harder than Rd . Is it true

I have a shogun 90/100 kit with smaller magnet. I also have a spare samurai coil. The connectors in the 90/100 kit is spliced so I will be providing the samurai coil free along with the kit, which is btw working as well. one ignition coil (TVS victor) a CDI shogun/Samurai(swiss make) will also come as part of the deal. I am expecting 4k, I hope I have priced it reasonably well, I know stock 60 watts stators cost more than my quoted price. PM me is anyone is interested. This came out of my RD and I have checked it was working fine. Yeah forgot to mention, you can adjust the timing up to 30 degrees both ways, come pre slotted and drilled

more than the body or the chassis you should be worried about the engine as spares like the crank,conrod,clutch and cylinder-kit are very hard to come by and hideously expensive ,running items like the cables are same i believe for the suzies2stroke range so that shouldnt be an issue ,it sounds like a steal for 5.5k provided the papers are clean and the engine isnt a can of wormsOriginally posted by sibun View PostLeave a comment:

Guys replying on this thread for first time.
I am here to ask a question. I am getting a shaolin for 5.5k. The engine has recently been restored. I am yet to see the bike. My biggest fear is the chassis and body. I do not care about engine as i can very well overhaul it. But the owner has overhauled it.
Shall i pick it up. How hard is it to get shaolin parts. Is running items available like accelerator cable, choke cable, clutch cables e.t.c.Leave a comment:

Secondly the RTO is supposed to examine / inspect the vehicle and extend the road-worthiness of the bike, its not a mere RC extension for 5 yrs. In other words they are the ones to certify the fitness of the vehicle.
In our state (maharashtra) after 15 years every 5 years we have to take the vehicle for "passing" (fitness).
But to be honest I know we cannot argue with them over any nonsense reasons or rules they say. Believe me when I had gone for my vehicles name transfer, they DIDN'T ACCEPT DRIVING LICENSE as a valid proof. That was the most ironic it could get.Leave a comment:
