very good log, i recently did a trip of k'gundi and mulliyanagiri. missed baba & heebe falls [because of some reason]. i am bit confused about the route you took after chikmaglur to k'gundi as i see u reached k'gundi before bababudiyanagiri and mulliyanagiri. Did you took a left turn from kaimara? if so then you will get mulliyanagiri & baba first correct me if i am wrong. after seeing kudremukha pics i should not have missed them , will travel soon for them .
on 4 wheels u feel the speed after a crash, 2 wheelers are much more advanced

              Thanks. I did Chennai - bangalore - Kemmangundi - Bababudangiri - Muliyangiri - Kudremukh - Marvanthe - Mangalore - Chennai

SO it was a direct push to Kemmangundi top & then came back to B'giri & M'giri.

Day 4: The Ride Back Home

Day 4: The Ride Back Home

The plan now seemed simple. Skip Sirsi / Haveri & reach Bangalore by Sunset. We woke up just around Sunrise, got ready in another 30 minutes. The highway seemed calm, not much traffic & our butts were well rested for another potholed highway ahead. I took the bikes out of the parking lot & got it idling till Sudeep checked-out the room. The NH17 has been terrible so far, such inseure roads causing too much inconvenience. But we had no other go, but to take the same highway till Mangalore & continue towards Bangalore.

                Some river around Udipi..

ok , i think if we directly wanna go to K'gundi then instead of left turn at kaimara after chik'lur go straight, this route is around 50+ kms and in good cond .lots of twists and turns bikers will love this . then need to take left just after the lingadahalli petrol pump. Roads uphill to k'gundi [20 kms] are good in this side . This is just my suggestion i think you already know abt this route. Nice pics there . Pic about the truth of life , liked it very much

I knew the route, But in a tiring mood missed the other route & also blindly followed the guy who guided this route. Anyway, It was still good enough for the trip as we had some memorable experiences

                            Thanks for liking the pics
