    A South Western Holiday!


    Prologue

    The Plan was simple. 5 days Leave from Office. Get away some where. I saw a few posts about how green Karnataka was. Instead of the usual Kerala plans, It was Kemmangundi & Kudremukh clubbed with a few beaches & Temples. Sudeep from Tumkur wanted to join in as he was himself eager on doing a Karnataka trip sometime soon.

    Day 1 : Run to the Hills, ASAP!

    With my parents leaving on a pilgrimage to Himalayas, I was free at home relaxingly dumped the rain-wear extra gloves + dresses onto the tank-bag. The Canon too fitted in. Left home around 4 30 AM on Saturday the 11th of September 2010. The highway was as usual calm & deserted. I reached the outskirts of Bangalore around 9 AM. Took the Elevated Flyover & missed the Nice Road flyover. Hence had to go into the City & hell a lot of traffic to take the Nice road. In a hour or so Sudeep rightfully joined me around Neelamangla. We took the NH 48 Towards Hassan, The roads were Ok, lots of potholes to watch-out for.

      Nice going Ananth! You want to finish off all the nearby places in a month or what!!??

      But, the pics and the place both look good... Some of the pics look under-exposed..may be its ur editing or there was low-lighting..

              Thanks MG. Would take care of the PP from the next trip. This time 90% pics were taken in low-light. Thanks for the note though

              Thanks Inder. Nothing to finish places as such, Just thought of riding & hence one another trip.

                    Nothing BIG like you guys plan. And even you can, If you plan your leaves well in advance!

                    One just small tip : Always Act like you are over-worked when you are in office. Try to goto office on weekends for a few hours & call your manager from work, It should do wonders for your vacation plans

                      Ofcourse, 4 weekend of December will fetch you 8 days of leave buddy . I'll ensure none of these tricks work in my team

                          HI Ananth, love to see someone riding out of state every now and then.As expected kemmangundi was brought our even better by your cannon.I just wanted to know how ZMR dealt with the 95% off roading to Kemmangundi. And the places visited????? waiting for the rest of the log to com.

                            Weekends are always there for the taking, Its the extra comp-offs that really give me a relaxing holiday break.

                            Thanks. ZMR as usual performed very well. Didn't have much issues except for the low tyre pressure en route (I went bang on to a sharp stone & expected a puncture) & a sore butt
