I see a different kind of tank bag (not like cramsters) on an Unicorn. Could I get the details??
@Ravi: That tankbag belonged to me. I picked it up for Rs.500 in one of the shops on JC Road.

      MUSTANG Touring Line

The zip quality isn't great, and no rain cover. But did the job nevertheless. I am getting the rain cover made using the same material used to make car/bike covers.

There is a nice review about it below

      • @Veda: Amazing write up! And even more amazing pictures. I wish I could see some of them in full res though... That would've been great.

@ACE_HUNTER: The R15 is a relatively smaller bike, size wise, but there's no need for the adjective. I mean, does size really matter?

Also, engine was butter smooth, and gear transmission was a bit difficult due to my inexperience riding the R15, but there was a certain "click" while gearing. In my bike, its more like a "thud".
thnx a lot pranay...had taken lots of care while running in period.... it responded extremely well during the ride conditions.....

I picked it up from a shop called Bike Junction on JC Road. He had a sample that he had got from Studds and I bought it. He had only one piece then.

The bag has 5 magnets, 2 on each flipper and one in the centre. If I am not wrong, I think Praveenkm also has one of this. If mounted on the tank directly, its better to cover the tank with a cloth and then mount this over that, else it might scratch up the paint finish on the tank.

It did its job what its supposed to do, and did it well. The zips are not of great quality and might need replacement soon. It also doesn't have a rain cover, which I am getting it made using the same silver cloth used for car covers. It has side wall stiffners so that the top doesnt collapse on the things inside and is quite roomy enough to put a lot of things inside.

                Its neat enough for Rs.550.

                Cheers!

                  • Today I saw another tankbag made by scoyco. The following has the pictures of it.

                    118bikes

It costs Rs.1100 and it was red in colour. I thot it wasn't that great for that price. You could check that out too.

                    • got some shocking news
                      Fuel effiency of my zma

Total Fuel filled 1000 + 20 rs of fuelin the tank
Total Kms travelled before hitting reserve = 751.4

Hiw many liters isthe reserve of a zma?

Am I getting 40+ fuel effiency or am I dreaming

P.S bike was kept below 100km/hr for most of the ride.
                      Average speed was 80 to 90 km/hr.

Help me calculate the Fuel effiency???

                      • Steve take a simple ratio na rather than a mileage figure.

1000 rs about 800 kms is good deal .

Concern starts when ur zma gives 1000 rs and 420 kms .
                        Then time to calculate mileage.
