Well...i missed the tour...otherwise i too may have joined you guys...i live in Nellore...which aint much far from Horseley Hills...anyways...a gr8 trip log guys

The R15 has an FI system. And it's loaded with goodies. What trouble do you expect it'll have in making it up the hill? Or the highway?

Guys, lets not let Mr. Hunter inflame this thread and stop going OT. He is known for his crazy blabberings. Ask the Chennai guys or even mods - u will understand. Request u to keep that in mind. I think all of us at Xbhp are very well aware of the pros and cons of each bike mentioned in his "list", let alone the mighty R15.

Mr. Hunter : If u have doubts about choosing a bike, search this forum or post in the "what bike" section, not here. If u continue, I might have to alert the mods...

There's a ride I'm planning for the blore guys this saturday. This is for the ppl who cannot make it to sunil's ride which should be given first prio due to it's cause. Here's my trip log:

I was in two minds whether to go to chennai and ride with them or to ride from Bangalore. This was decided when there was too much work for me on Friday and I couldn't leave for Chennai.

I was looking forward to the trip except for getting up early in the night (morning for rest of you), anyway I rode to the meeting point at 0515 and saw Amit and Pranay waiting up. Pranay called up Prajwal, who had a slight delay due to clothing issues

We rode all the way to RMZ complex. Amit works in that complex and he gave us a quick tour of the facility and showed us to the ATM.

Everyone gathered at around 0545 and we left Bangalore by 0600. Prajwal was leading the group and we maintained a speed of 60 to 70kph and the formation was well maintained with no one overtaking the other. Very rare to see that these days...

We hit Woodys by 0800 and we had breakfast stop there, after that I took as the lead for the group as we had to travel through mulbagal (my native place). We reached the outskirts of the town to realise that few guys were missing, turns out Vivek was drawing money from ATM and had a stop over. Time for few of us to rest our bums...




I called up Kiran who said that they are near Chittor and one of the bike has suffered an accident but it's not major and they would be coming to Palamner slowly and they were having breakfast. Kiran asked us to ride very slowly and we tried to our best to acheive that but inspite of that we were in Palamner at around 1030 and were waiting for Chennai guys to show up. This also gave us time to chat and get to know each other well.

While we were waiting in the bus depot ground, a strike was being organized by the labour leader of APSRTC and we were enjoying the speech. In sometime, we saw Eshwar arriving quickly followed up by rest of the chennai guys. It was surprising to see the Karizma without the fairing and the dome!! After exchanging the pleasantries, it was time to scoot towards Horsley hills.

This is where the trouble of maintaining the formation began and with lot of effort from Steve and Kiran we did arrive near Horsley hills as a group.



After a brief stopover, we took the deviation to the hills. Srini by the time couldn't control his enthusiasm and ran off in the distance only to go in the wrong direction and travelled aimlessly

On the way up, we had another stop over for photo session:




It was decided that everyone would leave this stopover in batches to avoid overtaking and collision while climbing the hills. Me and Steve were last and we decided to take this opportunity to admire the nature and its beauty as well take few more photos...





We finally reached the summit to find some confusion about rooms, receipts and Srini had the receipt for the reservation and he was not to be found. It was raining as well. To cut the story short, finally everything was sorted and we were ready for lunch
