Bangy roads were desolate without the R15's, 220's and Uni's that went missing over the weekend

      • Bangalore group 2 (still on the way) - pranay, prajwal, veda, arun, sudeep.
I hope you guys have reached. post quick.

Edit: I received news that they have just reached bangalore (after coil probs on both sudeep's and veda's bike). All are well and it has been a incident free ride for the bangalore guys (except for some mechanical niggles)

          Pranay's and Yuvraj's.

For the chennai guys, atleast on my odo, it was 616.3 kms, but it could only be around 580-590km, seeing as we roamed quite a bit in horseley itself. But the trip was amazing!!!!

We're trying to start an initiative where we're gathering enough photos or videos
of erratic Swiggy/Zomato/UberEats riders across all cities so we can cast a spotlight
on this issue and try and sort it out. If you video-record as you ride, or have a
dash-cam in your car, or can take SAFELY photographs of instances where these riders
are creating a nuisance by riding recklessly on the roads, PLEASE share the same with
us on the thread above. Appreciate it!

                  • yup .. it was doing some trekking there. burnside has the video.

Man we did some good speed while coming back. We did a true 70KM avg. and vivek on his Avenger kept up. Topped at 120 or so with 90+ (6.2K) being the norm (All speedo)

                        • SOME Trip Log, pics will be added later

                          28-11-2008
                          (7pm onwards)

Started off from tumkur on the 28th evening at 7 pm itself, the traffic was hell with the semi muddy roads which was frankly dangerous and irritating. i was already muddied by 10 pm when i finally managed to reach bangalore. phew

                          29-11-2008

rested for an hour at my friend's place from 2:30 to 3:30 am. Amit gave a wake up call as i had requested him to do so. left archi a message before sleeping asking for directions from marathalli bridge to the RMZ infinity meeting point. Got a call from steve that chennai guys had started off at 4:30 am.

started at 4:40 from my friends place with the ride preparation , that is i put my socks in polythene covers and wore with the shoes. didnt help much except storing more water than repelling it .. hell , and the Rs 2 ropes made for gunny bags were used to tie my usually huge backpack

reached marathalli around 5:20 am and called up archi for directions. reached the RMZ meeting point aaaand.

was totally dissapointed with the turnout, JUST 8 guys it seemed from bangalore.. where did the rest go after so many days of discussion and planning ? the list that i had made seemed useless then.

Saw Amit, Pranay, Archi, Veda and Arun at first, Prajwal and Vivek came later. we started by 6:10 and it was already dawn by then, a good starting time i must say. The weather was cold and good but the only negative factor was the constant drizzle which SEEMED harmless but it actually got my socks miserably wet.

rode at 60-70kmph and it was a surpebly maintained speed despite the very much sucking road condtion , that is it was half wet and the mud was in the air due to the passing trucks which well, covered my "washed" bike into a mud tinted bike and also my new riding pants suddenly looked like a rag pant picked from a dusty+muddy :P attic.

The R15's were unusually quiet archi's bike looked like it was released 5 years back after the mud spray treatment all the bikes got at the highway , amit dedicatedly used to clean his headlights at every halt.

                          Breakfast break at woody's
                          kolar
originally it was planned that bangy guys would have breakfast at hoskote, but we went past hoskote without even realising it. so we rode till kolar where we decided to have breakfast at woody's

we reached woody's around 8:30 am maybe, it was a proper breakfast time, we ordered idlis, vadas and "khara bath", Kesari Bath etc .. ate quite a lot and summed up with excellent coffee.

started off and rode in the drizzling rain, with the hgihways half made we had to do endless diversions here and there. my boots were already wet , although i was mostly dry but the cold had started to affect me from the bottom of my feet. brrr

the formation made by us 8 bangy guys was excellent during the way, no one was ripping their bikes and we were spot on time even with spending good time at woody's

and thanks to everyone who helped with the troubles my bike had (thanks to srini who rode the bike to take to it the puncture repair shop). sp thanks to Kiran providing me a bungee cord (yeah ill get the saddlebags next time ) thanks to Pranay,Prajwal,Veda and Arun for excellent company during the ride back with ZERO hassles (except for a few maddening overspeeding trucks, cars and bike poseurs ) thanks to the HH mechanic in madanpalle who fixed my bike, which apparantly was gooood luck that the HH service center was close to the place i broke down, i believe

this was a great trip to remember, even though the electrical problems WERE close to serious issues, it was nonetheless a trip to remember.

im sleepy now ill add rest of the log later

                          p.s VERY IMPORTANT NOTE

NEXT TIME EVERY RIDER MUST CARRY THE STARTER COIL OF THEIR BIKES

p.p.s : i again had a puncture i guess i have the unique record of having a puncture in every g2g

                            • ^^ what a great G2G, I must agree. I will be posting pics from my side here as well. What great company we had. On the way back, despite all the niggles, we did manage to maintain our head and not get bogged down. At the end, sensibility prevailed. And right now, I am doing the get out.
