Bigggggest mistake made

today read the whole log at 1 go...to tel u frankly..i was hooked to do so....i knew the pictures were meant to be amazing, jaw dropping...u have a hidden professional photographer in u buddy...keep it up....

When u start reading a ladakh travelogue, you expect some breath taking pictures of the surroundings

however in this travelogue there are barely any pictures of the surroundings

well I guess you read just the Ktop part... no doubt, usme kuch zyaada hi hariyaali hai

K Top to Khardung Village

Mission Accomplished !!! Finally the dream of riding on World's Highest Motorable world was fulfilled. Our plan was to reach Diskit. Dil pe patthar rakhke Sarah and Katie ko alvida kaha They were returning back to Leh. One pic so that nobody forgets...



We started our ride towards Diskit. Descend from K Top was equally tough. Finally after negotiating water crossing, gravel, black ice, uneven surfaces, we reached North Pullu. Submitted copy of permit at the check post and proceeded further. Road was now in pretty good condition. We reached Khardung village in around half and hour. Viraj stopped there suddenly and told that he is feeling dizzy and cannot ride further. The fever was again up We enquired about accommodation at the very 1st restaurant. He had 1 room vacant for just 150 bucks per head. Parked our bikes, dumped our luggage and ordered some maggi so that we get some energy. Viraj was shivering with cold. I told him to take medicines and rest. We'll decide tomorrow am what needs to be done further.

I gulped 2 full bowls of maggi as since morning we had ate just slices of bread and butter in Leh. It was just 6-6.30 pm and I had nothing to do. Viraj was sleeping so took out my cam and went out to capture some moments.

After photo session, I entered the kitchen of the Wangdus and started chit chat with the Jr. Wangdu and Sr. Wangdu. They were very eager to know about Mumbai and the lifestyle. Their living was so simple. Only thing they knew about Mumbai was the attack of Kasab and his gang on Taj and other places. Later Mrs. Wangdu also joined us and she was more eager to know about Bollywood, especially Mithun and Sunny Deol It was wonderful to chat with them non - stop for around 1.5 hours without the disturbance of cell phones, fb notifications, sms, etc. Ate dal roti for dinner and called it off for the day...
