"KONKAN"... The moment you hear this place's name, multiple things start running in your mind. To name a few... curves of NH17, corners at Kashedi and Parshuram ghats, beaches, "fresh" sea food, etc...
I personally had been to Konkan many times, once by 2 wheels with Viraj and twice or thrice in cages with family and friends
This time I wanted to feel and experience Konkan in different manner and per me monsoon is the best time for it. Even after riding on Roof of World, I wanted more and more and more and had decided no matter what, 2012 is the time to hit Konkan in monsoon...
Monsoon arrived in Mumbai in full fledge by mid July and so single day rides started to places like Lonavla, Malshej, etc. Made new friends during the rides and below 3 "Shaitaans" agreed with me to ride...
1st Shaitaan --> Sushil aka Susu aka Black Scorpion with P180
2nd Shaitaan --> Pavan aka Pavu aka Haya"Pavusa" with Stunner
3rd Shaitaan --> Rohan aka Rohu aka Leo Pandey with Fazer
So I shared my desire of riding to Konkan with the shaitaans and all were very excited. Slowly slowly the desire turned into a plan. Everyone was ready but the problem was convincing parents for such a long ride and that too in monsoon. I had convinced my parents well in advance so I was all set. Kabhi haa Kabhi naa aisa hote hote finally the D-Day arrived and we all were set for the ride. Lots of hardcore riding in rains, pitch dark roads and jungles and finally reaching the destination. Nirvana !!!
