15th Feb 2012... The Journey Continues

As said.. we had goosebumps every time we thought about the decision taken by us on 14th of Feb.. so that night we decided never to travel in night on the mountains..

We had to go to Kathmandu that day.. somewhere around 210 kms we had to travel on the mountains.. so we decided to take enough rest and leave at around 10 in the morning and we slept off..

I usually wake up at 6 AM.. hence I woke up at 6 and washed my Gloves off.. then headed down to my Black Pearl.. Removed the HID and put the stock bulb back and checked if it was working fine.. and then I tried to check what the problem was with the rear tire and noticed it was moving freely today.. though I didn't wanna leave it that way.. I took her to a nearby mechanic.. Those guys.. instead of listening to my problem.. they kept poking me asking me about her.. I didn't have much patience to answer each and every question they put on me.. so i just cut short and went ahead with my point..

They checked the tire and everything was normal.. got them to check the chain.. in-fact the chain was a bit loose and i had them tighten it.. after getting that done.. I just took my Black Pearl for a spin and she was so darn smooth to ride..

after reaching the room, I saw Manoj's RTR had a nail stuck on the rear tire.. he came down.. took out the puncture kit and we were fixing it.. meanwhile.. we heard some horrible gatak gatak noise and when we turned back.. it was a foreigner on a Pulsar 180.. he was complaining about the bike's performance up hills and when he got the bike for rent.. the bike was smooth and after riding it for some 100kms on the mountains the engine sounds horrible.. we were like.. lol..

Then finally Amresh wakes up.. and he went to the kitchen of that hotel and ordered for Tea for the 3 of us (i don't drink tea)... I started abusing him again..

Well, while manoj was fixing the Puncture, they brought us tea.. when I turned around to take the tea, it was a beautiful young girl.. <3 <3 me and Amresh fell in love that very next second we took the tea from her and we couldn't take our eyes off of her then she went inside.. Amresh was too curious to see her again so he went into the kitchen and ordered for few more Tea..

This time it was her brother who brought it and we were like.. grrr.. thanks..

well.. then as soon as manoj fixed the puncture.. we turned back to our room.. we were hungry so we wanted to have our breakfast and then set ourselves to leave for Kathmandu.. Amresh hoping that the girl will be in Kitchen.. went down to order for Aloo Paranthas.. to his luck.. he saw her and up he came happily with a wide smile on his face..

We had our breakfast and this was a special breakfast specially made for us as they don't make paranthas there.. we had.. and this time.. her bro came up to pick up the plates and Amresh and me told him we will bring the plates down ourselves and we took the plates.. saw her again.. Amresh commented saying "the paranthas were lovely. please give us the recipe" lol...

We packed up.. got ourselves ready.. took bath.. (it was freezing) and we headed our way.. we thought we can go for sight seeing...

We checked out at 12 PM and started looking for tourist spots.. but alas.. we were scared we will be robbed as we were asked to leave our bikes on the road and go some 2kms inside were we could not take our bikes..

so we decided to skip this place and move on to Kathmandu..

it seemed like we were going on flat roads and not on mountains.. atleast for few kilometers.. well.. Amresh's classic 350 was making some unusual noise from the silencer so we stopped to check and found that the bolt fell off the silencer cover and we needed to get it as it was kind of irritating him.. So we went to a mechanic and he got it fixed and when Amresh asked how much, they were Charging INR 50/- for a piece of bolt..

We were like WTFFFF?? we had to pay else he was gonna charge more as labor.. lol..

we moved on from there.. went past the Pokhara Airport.. and this city was beautiful.. no doubt.. the scenery, the sight.. and many rich guys around..

it was a normal day without any hesitations or any problems.. on our way.. we clicked many pics.. took lots of breaks and the roads were simply awesome..

We took turns riding on the curves of the mountains..

It seriously was a pleasure to ride on the mountains..

The problem with the drivers there was, they don't even give you a sign of them coming.. they were just coming.. and overtaking.. and they didn't leave us way.. the truck drivers were kind.. but the others.. they just wanted to get past you.. Amresh was almost hit by a car and a speeding bus.. and we had to slow down.. but the roads were wide enough and we easily hit 90kmph on the mountains.. continuous 90kmph.. we stopped often to enjoy the beauty.. and Amresh wanted to go Loo every time as it was too cold.. then we stopped at a place for even snacks.. we enjoyed the view and took some snaps..

More pics in the next Post...

we saw a Carolla Altis which just arrived when we were about to leave the Restaurant.. there were 2 hot chicks.. again.. me and Amresh fell in LOVE

wished we could have delayed. but we had to move on as it was getting late already.. we had made up few plans in Kathmandu..

it was somewhere around 5:30 in the evening and we were getting late.. yet another 80kms to cover.. on our way, the roads were being repaired hence the traffic was slow.. since we were on bikes.. we were able to beat the traffic easily.. alas.. Classic 350 found it a bit difficult.. but yet Amresh made it through easily..

Every attempt we made to overtake a true went in vain as the opposite traffic was hitting on us.. Amresh was affected the most... and then me.. Manoj was able to clear through them easily as he had a smaller bike.. but our funda was, Amresh on Lead, Manoj is middle and me on Tail.. I wanted to maintain this so that we don't get lost.. but manoj kept going ahead leaving out Amresh behind.. so i kept slowing down waiting for Amresh and at one particular time, i picked up speed to catch up with Manoj and ask him to let Amresh Take lead.. and I had to travel for almost 2 mins to find Manoj waiting for us..

after that we made Amresh be in the lead.. we had a momentum going.. me being on the tail position made way for Amresh and manoj to overtake as i was quite far and was able to see the on coming traffic..

and when Amresh was stuck.. Manoj used to help him pick up pace with us.. we never let anyone over take us when Amresh was to overtake as the side mirrors of Classic 350 is of no use and he cannot see who is coming from behind.. so we helped him out..

We were hit by heavy traffic just 20kms to kathmandu and the time was already 8:30 PM.. cutting through the traffic was not possible as everyone on bike was trying to do the same.. luckily we had enough company and we need not be scared like the other day towards Pokhara..

after a while, the Traffic cleared and we moved as quick as possible and reached Kathmandu.. as soon as we reached.. I removed my gloves while Amresh wanted to ask the cops where we will get decent rooms with parking place to keep our bikes safely.. at that time.. me and Manoj gave a knuckle shake punching each others knuckles.. and i completely forgot i didn't have my gloves on and he did.. God.. that hurt to the core

We checked out almost 5 hotels and found one at about 9:45 PM.. we unpacked.. went into the room and fell on the bed ordered for dinner and planned to go out for a walk and see if we can find any club to enjoy

dinner came at around 10:30 PM and we were already tired.. we badly wanted to go the club but the guys in Hotel were not ready to let us know and they frightened us saying they will rob us and make us go bankrupt.. so cancelled that plan and decided to sleep..

We discussed about the silly mistakes we made during the ride and laughed out... It was a pleasant freezing day..

Meet you guys in the next post

16th of Feb 2012...... The Journey Continuessss..

We slept off that night after such a tiring journey from Pokhara to Kathmandu.. again we were talking about the mistakes we made that day and the dangerous drivers who don't even care about others..

It was 6 AM in the morning.. As usual, I got up and went down to dust off the bikes and start my Black Pearl..

I inserted the key and turned on the ignition... Pressed the Self.. and the Speedo goes numb.. blank.. and as I left the Self start button, the Speedo came back to Life.. I realised the battery lost charge again after last night's travel.. and meanwhile noticed that the chain got loosened so got manoj to come down and help me tighten the chain.. he helped me with it.. Also told him about the Battery issue.. so he helped me push the bike and we managed to start the bike (One of the most Embarrassing moments of my life.. LOL...) had the bike started for some 5 minutes to let the battery charge... Then stopped the bike and went upstairs to get ready for some site seeing..

it was freezing cold.. and when Manoj was gonna take bath.. he noticed there is no hot water.. we complained and they started saying.. there is no water in the tank for the hot water pipe.. blah blah blah.. Me and Manoj were like we need hot water and somehow..

so we decided to do an R&D on how the heater is connected and to which pipe...

So the setup was like above.. water from the shower was freezing cold.. and the hand shower was connected to the heater.. so we decided to remove the shower head and connect the pipe inlet to the heater from the shower pipe and made some arrangement and managed to get the hot water to take bath

Final setup for the shower and heater..

We all got ready and we went outside to go to Pashupatinath Temple. It was somewhere around 15 kms from where we stayed...

Inserted the key and turned the ignition on.. pressed the self start and speedo again went blank and got me frustrated..

Battery died off again.. so we tried to push the bike to start and it didn't start as the floor was too smooth and the tire kept skidding. so we pushed the bike to the road and got it started.. again embarrassing :'(

We were lost in between and we went the wrong way.. we were confused with the roads and finally had to ask the police.. they guided us and we somehow made it to the temple..

We had to park our bikes and walk quite a distance.. Amresh and Manoj got prashad and i didn't want one as I am a Christian.. we left us shoes in that shop only and we went into the temple..

                Well, this site seems pleasant,

we heard the Sea Shell Horn being blown and saw people bringing in dead bodies.. we were wondering.. atleast I was wondering for what they are bringing in a dead body.. when I asked manoj.. he said they cremate dead bodies in this temple and those people are the luckiest people in the world.. I was shocked for a minute..

when we moved in further.. we saw what is in the below pic.

We saw dead bodies being cremated right in front of everyone.. and it was not only one.. many bodies were brought every 5 minutes.. they can cremate 10 bodies at a time..

Foreigners were taking videos of that... and they were taking pics too.. there was a note stating.. Only Hindus are allowed to enter into the Cremation Ground..

                We moved on further..

Cameras and mobile phones were not allowed inside the temple so we had to keep them in a locker..

We went inside the Main Temple, Amresh and Manoj Gave the Prashad to the priests there and prayed.. it was not one.. but many small temples inside and we had to give the prashad to each and every priests there.. the funny part was.. they forced us to pay Nepali Rupee 100/- per priest and we were almost broke

We finally came out of the Main Temple..

We got out of the Temple and we were walking barefooted for almost 2hrs..

we got back and put on our shoes and thought we had a good deal with the Prashad.. we came out and found that the stores nearby were selling the Prashad cheaper.. we finally realized that we were cheated again where we bought the Prashad..

We didn't have any cash in hand and we had to go to the ATM to withdraw some more cash.. Not too much but yes.. some as this was our last day in Nepal..

we turned back to the hotel and again my bike didn't start with self.. even after riding it for some distance.. I decided i have to get the battery charged.. Manoj went to the ATM and withdrew some money and we moved to the hotel.. we went on the same route that we had come through.. we didn't find any one going the way we were going and we only found on coming traffic.. we were on the wrong way.. Luckily no one caught us.. we had to go through some small streets and roads to go to the proper road..

we stopped by some shops to check on sneakers and shoes but none to our taste and budget so we moved on.. Note.. I didn't stop my bike.. left it started as I didn't want to push start it..

we were nearing the hotel and suddenly i lost my way.. Both Amresh and Manoj went ahead and I had to speed up.. caught in traffic.. at this moment some idiotic 125cc bikes coming for a race with me and eventually i didn't try to even race them got stuck in traffic again.. and finally found Manoj waiting for me on the side and Amresh waiting a bit ahead.. we found the Hotel and we had to take a U turn.. cops were standing and they stopped us as we had Delhi Registered bikes...

They started asking for all the documents.. and our bad luck, Amresh left his Bansal note in the room and these guys didn't let us even go to the hotel to get the bansal note..

Mad guys didn't let us go for almost 15mins.. Amresh was arguing asking the cops to let him go to the hotel to get the Bansal note.. finally they let him go.. he went and came back after 10 mins.. and meanwhile me, being an idiot turned off the ignition and the bike stopped Amresh and Manoj moved on and I found a Exide showroom nearby.. took my bike to check on the battery.. they asked me to go the service center which is just some 1km away from there.. I push started my bike and took it to them and asked them to charge it..

I wanted to make a call to Amresh or Manoj and inform them about this as they didn't know..

My Bad Luck, I didn't have balance to make calls either.. I had to recharge my number and I didn't have change nor did they..

Luckily Manoj called up and I informed him that I will come after an hour as they are charging the battery.. To my surprise.. those guys said they have seen this type of battery and they don't know to charge it.. I was like... WTF?? Just put the wires on their respective terminals and charge the battery, they said they won't do it.. Thank God a Car driver came to my rescue and said the same thing I said in Nepali and they kept the battery for charge.. I was so freaking hungry and the time is already 1:30 PM..

what made things worse was.. our Bansals were expiring today 11:59 PM and we had to get out of Nepal by then.. they more they delayed.. the more we were at risk of making it to the Indian Border..

Manoj called up again and said they have ordered lunch for me and I can have it when I come there.. i asked them to get it parceled and we will leave as soon as I get back to the Hotel Room..

It was 2 PM and I asked them to give the battery back as I was getting late.. they did the same and when I asked how much I had to pay.. they said i didn't have to pay anything..

I got out of there as soon as possible and reached the hotel.. they were already packed.. and were waiting for me.. I tied up my bags and went to the washroom, washed my hands and face.. then we left the place at 2:30 PM..

No pics were clicked due to the tension we had

16th Feb 2013.. Ride Back to India... Kathmandu to Nautanwa.

It was 2:45 PM. and we had to cross 300 kms to hit the Indian Border..

Turned on the Ignitions and heard our engines Roar... We left the Hotel, since we couldn't turn right from hotel, we took a left and then after few meters, took a U turn.. and we were stuck in traffic.. we wanted to confirm the shortest path to the Indian Border.. and everyone confirmed we had to go through Butwal and need not go via Pokhara.. almost 200 kms on the mountains.. and then the roads are going to be flat...

Amresh asked the same Police guy who stopped us asking for the Bansals.. and he gave us the route.. so we left from that spot at around 3 PM..

We were expecting the roads to be free, however there was heavy traffic in Kathmandu.. we couldn't cross a speed of 20 kmph.. we came out of Kathmandu at around 3:20 PM and we were hungry to ride fast as we were getting late.. just when we picked up speed, Classic 350 came to reserve and we had to fill up the tanks.. Reneav Tank had enough fuel, so He didn't fill up.. RTR and C350 got their tanks filled and we left the place..

Reneav felt hungry.. Ami and me wanted to have tea.. so we stopped at the 72 kms to Pokhara milestone.. we crossed somewhere around 70kms and the time was 4:15 PM..

In the place where we stopped, there were so many dhabas.. In one of them, there were 3 girls and Amresh selected that Dhaba with the 3 girls

Reneav had the food that was packed.. We had tea.. those girls kept staring at us.. we assumed one of them was a call girl with all that make up and seducing looks..

so now the time was 5:15 PM and we had to travel another 228 kms.. and out of which almost 130 kms is on the mountains.. Sent at 15:01 on Wednesday

We were riding at good speed on the speedometer but till 5:30 we were climbing mountain only. Somehow we have manage to complete the mountain before dark and we came on flat roads.

This time Reneav want to fillup so we stop at a petrol bunk and fill up fuel, Check air in the tires.

                        Height of tiredness :

After another 70 KM we stopped to have tea and AMI was not able to hold his pice of metal. he was not pull out his leg and open the side stand and fall down on the road like a stone. That act scared me and Reneav like hell. We run towards him and help him to stand up and then both of us hold the RE and parked it on the road.
WE asked him what happened and he replied "nothing he forgot to put his leg down on the road"

We want to have Tea but no tea was available there so we just take 5 min break and start out journey again. Me and Reneav was thanking GOD that we came down from mountain in the day light now we need to travel on the flat only no need to worry. We was totally unaware about the thing going to happens in next few hr.

A act that should not repeat by the one who have not good luck and blessing

We where riding at constant 80-90 KMPH and suddenly from nowhere again we started climbing up to mountain. Some how we manage to cross next 50 more KM in mountain but as soon as we came back on flats jungle started. and trafic speed is also increase. Roads have so many curves and on one curve because of High beam from the upcoming trafic he become flash blind. Next moment I was watching uncontrolled heavy bike with a light rider at the speed of 70 on the side of the on sharp stone (which generally use to construct the road base before concrete). To make this scene more horrieble he there are iron spike on the boundary of the road (some farm or something was there).
The worse part of this scene is that rider is my Friend AMI and We cannot do anything to help him.
By the GOD grace and pure luck and blessing, AMI didn't push the break very hard and slowly came back on the road. We stopped and abuse him like hell and kick on his butt for this stupid act. (The Biker way to show the fear of loosing close friend).

SO after hitting AMI many time we again started and decide to cross the border before 9:30 in the evening without having any tea break or pee break.
We stooped for 1 or 2 min many time on the way to the border but manage to touch the border at 11:30.

We was on the border line (one side Nepal gates guarded by gorka and other side India Gate guarded by BSF. We was taking picture of the border and suddenly we sow a guy coming towards for the documents and everything.
We had all the papers but that guy was giving us lame excuse that our bansar is expire and etc, he was drunk a lot and he want some money. Our Sabu (Ami) got angry on that guy and started abusing him on the border line. Somehow he came to know that guy has nothing to do with the border office he is just a tout. So we told him F*** Off and start out journey again.

After crossing the border we came to know natunwa is 60 more KM from the border and we started towards natunwa in a hurry. All three of us was tired hungry and impatient because of that guy. So we quickly made to natunwa and somehow manage to find a charitable Dhramshala for a night stay at 12:30 in the night.
we parked our bike and asked the Manager of Dhramsala for food and he tell us that there is a Dhaba nearby he might have food at this time.
We rush towards the dhaba order food at 1:15 AM. That was the most testy food we ever had throughout the trip (Because we was hungry like hell)
We came back to hotel and light cutoff for 2 hr.
So we did all the routine work chatting about mistakes and chicks on our way

The funniest part was.. there was only one plug point in the room.. Amresh and Reneav had a fight over who should put the Mobile on charge.. Reneav obviously won and he kept his mobile for charge over the night..

Early morning when Amresh woke up.. he found that the mobile was put for charge without turning on the switch.. and the fight started again.

here are few pics of that day:

well.. it was a wonderful morning.. I woke up to see that the Mobile I had kept for charge didn't charge.. me being an idiot plugged in the charger and didn't switch on the plug..

We woke up early and our next destination was to make it to Kanpur..

Me and Amresh woke up in the morning.. but Manoj didn't wake up.. we booked 2 different rooms and manoj wanted the entire bed for himself.. we knocked on the door as hard as we can to wake him up.. but no where near possible to wake him up... we tried calling him on his mobile.. yet no response..

After almost an hour.. he called back asking WHAT? We were like WTF?? Its getting late and we have to make it to Kanpur..

Amresh wanted to go meet his family members on our way to Kanpur..

                          They stayed near Mehdawal..

Amresh was saying he knows a shortcut which will reduce the distance by 100 kms.. we were so happy about it and we decided to go through that route..

so we took bath, got ready.. when i say we took bath, it was Me and Manoj, Amresh took bath only twice during the entire trip.. lol

we checked out and we started.. the roads were of horrible condition.. we were fed up.. we couldn't cross 30 kmph even.. we missed the Nepal roads at that moment...

well.. we had no other choice.. so we moved on.. suddenly Amresh Slowed down and when we asked why, he said the rear tire was wobbling.. and we figured out it was a puncture.. luckily there was a puncture wala just opposite to where the bike tire got flat.. we pushed his bike to that guy and asked him to fix it..

the guy removed the tire and fixed the puncture.. and when he was searching for a nail.. he found a small piece of bone which had punctured the tire.. we were pulling Amresh's legs.. laughing at him.. saying " only a bone can puncture Classic 350... lol..

we took break for almost an hour.. they ordered tea meanwhile and we were just pulling each others legs.. playing around..

we were so happy that we will save more than an hour as we are going to cut short 100 kms going in the shortcut..

It was time for us to leave and we started from there...

At a point.. Amresh said we will have to take a right to go meet his relatives.. (note - none of the 3 of our Family members know that we went on bike to Nepal)

we took the right and found there was no road.. we were off-roading.. lol.. he took us somewhere deep inside.. and we were in the agriculture fields.. and in we went further.. there were ups and downs on the so called road and suddenly Manoj's RTR rotated 360 degrees.. skidded so badly even at low speed and I tot he was gonna fall.. But thanks to his skills he somehow managed to balance.. I went nearby to notice skiddy mud which caused his Poor TVS tires to skid badly.. I happened to be more careful after seeing his bike skid..

Amresh didn't notice it as he was ahead.. we further followed him and he took us to a Govt school where his Aunt is the principal..

We met them.. had a nice chat and took some snaps with all the teachers..

We moved on further after meeting his relatives...

went back in the same route that Amresh brought us here... the road was horrible.. infact.. there was no road, it was just made out of bricks.. we couldn't go above 40 kmph on our bikes.. except Amresh.. he was riding at 60s.. I was the slowest as I was afraid of getting my Fairing hit by bricks.. Amresh was way ahead of us and he stopped for us.. as soon as we came near him.. he was like why are you guys riding slowly like girls.. We got frustrated and started abusing him.. asking him where is the shortcut.. he was like.. "This is the Shortcut and this is the road" grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.. me and Manoj got angry with him like anything.. and we had no other choice but to go on this road as we already crossed some 30kms and going back 30kms to hit the highways is going to be a tedious task.. the road was soooo small that if any vehicle comes on the opposite side.. we had to go all the way to the side.. finally tar road appeared and me and Manoj were a bit faster this time..

Me and Manoj were surprised.. rather scared to see buses and trucks coming on that small road.. even a single inch mistake can kill us..

a bus was coming very fast on the opposite side and Amresh luckily survived.. he had to get off the road.. This made me and Manoj more red and we wanted to kill Amresh for bringing us on this road.. to save 100kms we burnt more fuel as the FE of our bikes reduced to the core due to often gear changes, applying brakes and holding the clutch which got the engine hot..

in between.. there was market.. with heavy rush and crowd and we were stuck.. we almost lost 2hrs on this so called short cut..

we finally managed to hit the highways again.. Amresh and Manoj wanted to fill up the tanks so we stopped at a petrol station and filled up their bike tanks.. there were 2 scorpios filled with hot girls.. again.. me and Amresh.. no doubt.. fell in love with all the girls

we prayed that they take the same route as us.. but alas.. unlucky us.. they went on the opposite direction though me and Amresh were ready to go that way.. Manoj stopped us
After filling up the fuel, we let our bikes take rest for 15 minutes and meanwhile Manoj just wanted to check on the Engine Oil level and to our surprise.. the oil level was nearly Zero...

If we didn't notice it.. His bike's engine would have been ceased and we would have been in trouble.. I guess God made him check the oil level.. My Bike's oil level was normal and so was C350s... manoj got Engine oil from the Fuel station and filled it up.. he got extra bottle as well in case the bike needed it..

we started off from there and we were somewhere about 300kms away from Kanpur...we didn't have our breakfast as well so we decided to stop at a restaurant and have our lunch..

We had our lunch and we almost killed an hour over there.. the time was somewhere around 5PM and we had to cross 250 kms more to ride..

We were riding at 90s and after we climbed down a bridge a small town appeared and there was a bus standing.. out of no where a small girl came running from the blind spot and just by a matter of less than a second.. she survived from hit by Amresh and Manoj.. I always ask those guys to maintain distance so that the other person has enough space to apply brakes.. I always stayed far from Manoj.. atleast 10 meters distance.. We stopped again for few minutes to cool ourselves after that horrible moment.. kept telling these guys to maintain proper distance for the other person to have enough space and time to apply brakes..

the time was somewhere around 6PM and it got dark.. and we realized we cannot make it till Kanpur and we decided to stop at Lucknow.. the time was 8 PM and we started searching for rooms.. all the rooms where of high cost and no parking was available.. and finally we found a room where they said we can park our bikes in the reception and we checked in there.. but later in the night they said no sir, you can park your bikes outside and we will have a security guard to watch your bikes etc etc.. we had no other choice but to say ok..

Manoj was Hungry and I was thirsty.. so we decided to go out and check on restaurants or fast foods to have dinner.. we were roaming around here and there without knowing the place.. we found a fast food where Manoj ordered for food, me and Amresh had juice..

I wanted to get the Chikan Sarees for mom and Chikan suit materials for couple of friends back in chennai.. so we started asking people where we will get them.. we were informed that the market will be closed and the market is some 10kms away from where we were.. the Markets open at 9 AM so I decided to give it a try in the morning..

we got back to the room and we were chatting as usual about the day and ride and the stupid mistakes we made and slept off..

Well, it was early morning 6.. As usual, I woke up.. Went down to check on the bikes.. dusted off my black pearl.. went back up.. took bath and got ready... now I was waiting for the time to be 9 AM so that I can go to the market and get the Chikan Sarees and Salwar Suit materials..

I tried to wake up the 2 idiots but as usual.. they were sleeping lazy gooses I just informed Manoj saying I am going to the market and asked them to be ready by 10 so that as soon as I come, we can leave.. He was like sure sure..

I turned on the ignition and my bike roared with half self.. heavy traffic on a Saturday.. I didn't expect it.. so I had to go up a bridge and go straight and a bit of cuts here and there.. and I seemed to have lost my way... I didn't know much Hindi by the way.. somehow managed to get ask people for directions and reached the market.. on my way to the market.. I decided to get the bike chain tightened and lubricated..

after getting the things... I was riding the bike fast back to the room so that we don't get delayed.. it was 10 AM and I reached the room to find Only Manoj awake and ready.. when I asked where is Amresh, he showed the bed and that idiot was still sleeping.. I jumped on him and made him get up hurt..

He ordered tea.. so that he can freely do his morning duties.. he had to drink 3 teas to go poo.. lol..

it was 10:45 AM.. we forced him to get ready.. he got a call from his bro.. he wanted Amresh to visit someone in Kanpur on his way back to Delhi..

we checked out at 11 AM and got the things packed up on the bikes.. now the dilemma was where will i keep the extra things i purchased.. I had an option to squeeze them below my bag on the elastic rope.. but that will get the new materials dirty so i decided to pull out my used and dirty dress and shift the places

so we finally left the place at 11:30 AM after having breakfast.. We were going at a pretty good speed that we reached Kanpur in 2 hrs which included the breaks that we took in between for tea..

we reached Kanpur at around 2 PM and Amresh went to meet his relatives.. meanwhile me and Manoj were roaming around Kanpur.. looking for cheap shoes as Kanpur is known for cheap leather footwear

me and manoj withdrew the last of our money from the ATM and he purchased 3 pairs of footwear at a pretty decent cost..

We spent almost 2hrs waiting for Amresh's call.. and the time was already 4 PM.. we called up Amresh and he asked us to come to a point towards Agra..

He was hurrying us saying he is waiting for us there.. me and manoj rushed to that spot to find that idiot has not even left the house..

finally after 30 minutes of waiting.. we heard a boot boot sound and we noticed that idiot just passed us beneath the bridge.. so we called him and asked him to meet us in the next point where he can join us in the bridge.. we went and went and it never joined.. so we asked amresh to come over the side path and he did.. we left from Kanpur at 5 PM and we had to travel almost 250 kms to reach Agra.. we knew we can make it so we pushed ourselves hard..

Now the time was 8 PM and we decided to have our Dinner.. Manoj's wife called up and she was screwing him like anything and he wanted to skip dinner and leave the place and reach Delhi by midnight.. we stopped him saying thats not possible and we don't wanna take such risks in the night as we are not aware of what will happen..

Amresh was saying he is too tired and he cannot travel any further.. and we were almost 100 kms away from Agra.. so Amresh started checking up on places to stay and we didn't not find any.. so we went ahead to a town called Etawah..

we found many hotels but most of them stunk to the core.. so we decided to search for better hotels and finally found a decent room.. we wanted the bikes to be safe as there was some protests due to some stupid election at that time..

the hotel guards tied our bikes to a chain and promised us on the safety of our bikes..

we went up and Manoj was still on call being screwed by his wife.. he was saying he will leave to Delhi blah blah blah.. but we didn't let him go as we didn't wanna take a risk..

we all slept off and the day was over..

19th Feb 2012.... Reach Home Etawah to Delhi - 313 Kms

It was 6 AM in the morning.. I woke up as usual and got ready.. I saw Amresh and Manoj sleeping as usual.. I completed my morning chores and got ready.. later on Manoj got up and he ordered for Tea.. and he too got ready.. later Amresh got up and he too got ready and we wanted to reach Delhi by 12 PM..

Me and Manoj packed up.. Amresh went down to pay the room bills and check out.. we picked up all the stuffs and went down to the reception and we saw many girls we starting smiling at each other.. Me and Amresh of course..

well, we got the bags seated on our rear seats and we were ready to take off.. we started at 8:30 AM and we were sure that we will not make it to Delhi by 12 PM..

we went on and we were enjoying the ride.. smooth ride at around 80kmph and inbetween villages.. and you guys know how the people are.. if they see guys going fast on a bike.. they start chasing you and won't leave till they overtake you.. we were kind enough to let them overtake us

we felt hungry and we stopped at a small place where we had snacks.. we had lots and lots of pakodas.. variety of them and we had some cool drinks..

I don't know much Hindi and I was trying to communicate with the shop keeper.. Amresh started teasing me cos of my accent.. I was like.. ok.. fine.. and he teased me more and I got hyper.. and started abusing him in Tamil and English.. lol.. and i escaped from there I went some 200m and came back saying i found a petrol pump.. Amresh wanted to fill up his bike tank.. and we all filled up the tanks there..

We had to top-up RTR's engine oil here and there..

Back again on highways.. cruising at 60kmph.. everyone looked at us as if we were aliens cos of the guards...

These 2 guys on a splendor.. after seeing us.. started coming after us.. and the guy riding it was fat and noisy.. he overtook us... went some 10m ahead.. and started showing off.. leaving the handlebar and shouting saying some crap.. and after a minute.. he slowed down.. let us go past him.. then he again he overtook us and started shouting crap.. he again slowed down and let us ahead.. this went on for some 3 more times... this time.. me and Manoj got irritated.. he went to the side of amresh who was leading.. and i went to the side of Manoj blocking the road.. we slowed our speed to 30kmph and we didn't let the guy pass us.. he was abusing us and shouting and honking like a mad donkey.. we ignored it for almost 1km and then i left some space and let that idiot pass by.. after that me and Manoj just went ahead of him and we started shouting and acted like that idiot and we let him pass by.. :P and we went back to our positions...

That was the last of that guy he just went forward and never turned back..

We stopped for tea in a small tea stall.. I parked my bike on the road.. Amresh and Manoj parked it on the side.. I always got scolded by Manoj for parking the bike on the road..

So Amresh was like before you get scolded.. move the bike to the side... i was like yeah.. thanks and I moved the bike.. after 3 minutes.. i just turned to see my bike and it was going to fall.. i couldn't stop it from falling :'( :'( I was in tears after seeing her fall for no reason :'( started abusing Amresh as he asked me to park it on the side.. but of course my fault too as I didn't properly notice that the sand was muddy.. Thank God She didn't fall into the ditch which was just nearby..

I picked my Black Pearl up to see scratches on the left side of the fairing and the Left indicator broken and was pushed inside the fairing I was really upset.. the clutch lever too was bent and it caused more pain in my hands :'(

The first thing I did after Reaching Delhi was replace the Indicator..

We reached Agra and Amresh wanted to pee...

We stopped on the side.. and we started again.. on the busy highways.. we couldn't cross above 60kmph.. we saw foreigners taking video of the three of us.. they were going in an Innova along with us for almost 30 seconds and they said cheers to us and they went ahead... it was almost 12 PM and we just crossed Agra... after about 20 kms from Agra, the traffic was less and we were able to move at a faster pace...

The Time was 1 PM and we were hungry.. so we stopped by a big dhaba and we had our lunch.. and we were some 150 kms away from Delhi...

we were eating paranthas after paranthas we left from there at 1:30 PM and decided not to halt anywhere.. we were going at constant 80s and this time we were out of position most of the time.. me and Manoj enjoying the last few kms of our Trip..

We finally reached Faridabad at around 3 PM and we were so happy that we reached safely without any harm..

after a heavy traffic around Faridabad, we managed to reach Noida by 3:30 PM and thats where we dispersed.. we went our own ways to our house..

                              Total Travelled - 2450 kms

Not sure why the difference is this much in terms of the distance traveled..

RTR has speedo errors so the distance traveled on RTR showed much more difference..

All the 3 bikes made it without any problem.. except my ZMR which had Battery issues...

According to me and Manoj.. ZMR is a better tourer than the RE Classic 350. Yes.. Power does matter.. But ZMR has both power and is the Most Fuel Efficient..

Amresh agreed on the same.. But he never gives up on his Bike and Manoj too and of course ME

well, ZMR still had 11 ltrs of fuel left in the tank after the return and that same fuel was used for more than a month

RE C350 needed refueling in a week after the return.. and RTR we didn't have any idea as Manoj's bro uses it...

                              ====

We had a life time thriller, fun, joy, excitement, tour.. whatever you name it.. we had it during the trip.. I am hoping Manoj will put his reviews on his bike during the trip... and we will get Amresh to post his review on his RE C350 soon

I will post my review on ZMR after Manoj does...

                              Cheers Guysss
