Re: Western Ghats Solo
Truer words were never said my friend. I took to riding to forget gadgets and that's what I prefer to do when I am on any solo trips. Posers, wannabes, cameras with higher resolutionOriginally posted by plasmabhai View Post
I read every word that you wrote and personally I feel that words speak MUCH MUCH louder than photos. Yeah unfortunately biking on xbhp has become linked to photography and god ****ing knows how this trend started but reading someone's words about an experience, no matter how bad, broken or awesome their English is, conveys (to me) emotions which went through the riders mind as s/he was experiencing those events. And that for me is much more valuable than looking at beautiful photos.
P.s.: Philosophy and motorcycling were linked ever since man hit the open road on his machine.
Photography and motorcycling have become linked ever since every tom dick and harry started affording dslrs.
And, to me, philosophy is more important than photography!
and of course - Photoshop has played a hand in de-linking philosophy from riding. However, I am happy to see that there are people who are still more interested in exploring than in posing for a photographs. (not to forget the irritating 'selfies' trend nowadays).
Riders plan rides nowadays not for exploring or being a midst nature but to make sure it has nice backgrounds for photography and posing, not to forget the panache for having it posted in facebook or having them published.
I would try to follow the same principles for my trip logs in the future.
As for the trip log - You have been amazing, keep writing and keep clicking. Your crazy trip when you had started riding was and these wanderings are truly inspiring. One day trip logs are highly appreciated.
P.S - I have nothing against people who are photographers by profession or who actually do travel photography. This is only for posers (You know what I mean
).
