And so our wedding anniversary…we need to rewind a bit here. We knew each other since childhood and lived practically all our life in Bangalore. I had a short stint in the Middle East in the nineties and on returning to India decided to spend a few months in Goa. It was there that I saw this beautiful 400+ year old church bang opposite where I lived and decided that it would be a great place to tie the knot. Seeped in history and in such a beautiful place, we set things in motion and on the 19th of May (many years back) we got married right in that church. Our relatives, who would have had to worry their heads off with making arrangements in Bangalore, ended up having a whale of a time in sunny Goa!

Since then we faithfully visit Goa almost every year. We have made many wonderful friends here over the years and every visit is not just a holiday but a nostalgic journey down many memory lanes.

This year we left for Goa on the 1st of May for an initial plan of two weeks, but then decided to stay on till the 19th and then return. Our Goan friend Rocky has a flat in Candolim in North Goa and he invited us to spend a couple of days there and hosted a fabulous dinner for us.

On the 19th after an early morning visit to the memorable church and warm wishes from the priests and friends, we pack up from Majorda and head for Candolim ( around 50k.m north). We meet our friend and spend a couple of lovely days there.

NORTHERN EXPOSURE: VIEWS FROM THE NORTH

HA, HA, HA Indeed....Some more coming up.
Cheers Guys
