Passionate about Long Rides.. Wonderful to hear.. and yes.. I know how bad it feels when people turn down the bike ride trips.. I used to face the same problem in my previous company.. Used to gather some 5 people who are willing to go when we plan the trip and as the day nears.. they back out saying I have some work etc etc..

Finally in the new company i ended up meeting 2 idiots who are passionate on biking and touring just like me but never had anyone to give them company.. me and one other guy were new joinee and we ended up the same way like you.. except our first long tour was to Nepal (Kathmandu) and boy.. i can understand your feelings

Seems like you had a wonderful day.. but this was last year, wasn't it??

waiting for more pics and updates from you mate.. Cheers..

And yes. This trip was almost 1 year old. After this particular trip, i have done Chennai to Goa in R15 (With Pillion :P) and Chennai to Yelagiri (Solo ride). I just felt like sharing my experience with all. So here my first log.. soon i will post my other travelogue as well.

And please let me know how to write the continuation of my travelogue (I should use reply option???). Because i'm totally new in posting information.

Exact same problem with my friends too. Everyone thought I was crazy to want to ride for such long distances.
At that time I did not know about xbhp or others.
Did a solo ride to Elagiri and then found Xbhp and Chennai Xbhp. There is no dearth of people to ride with here.

ram.kris86 : congratulations - for the 1st log as well as the great ride & superb fotos.
dont worry too much about like-minded company.
just take good care of ur ride as if she were your child & start riding solo.
there is a list of essentials one needs to carry for emergencies, break-downs, rains, heat, etc.
keep a set of these items as a standby.
once this is done & ur ride is in perfect condition, the only thing that comes between u & ur gateaways is the weekdays
most importantly, PLEASE INVEST in proper riding gear - ur life is far more precious than your ride & ur job - both put together - trust that u agree.
ride safe & may the force be w/ u my friend!

Continuation..

Please BARE with my long write-up

I understood one thing, with my past experience. If we plan for a ride, 2 situations are common for all.
1. Though a good night sleep is necessary the previous night: This hardly happens :P
2. Alarm is not at all necessary, every time I wake up before it rings and I am very sure most of you would have experienced the same.
