After this it started so heavily that we ditched the plan of visiting the backwaters and decided to start off our journey back to bangalore

Within 70 kms from mangalore we stopped couple of times for tea breaks etc because moving ahead in such heavy rains was getting little difficult and a wet affair

reached bangalore by 7:30 PM, had a nice dinner and retired for bed. A weekend well spent. Rains, ghats, wet roads, fog, broken patches, beaches and Ninja speed run. something to cherish till the next ride

Next day it was the need of the hour

The Ninja ownership experience so far. neil9381 you better read this now just kidding

Till 4K RPM bike feels very ordinary, comparable to any Indian bike ( My run-in pain )
Once you open the throttle and take it beyond 6K, it has the league of its own, The Twin cylinder sound and the sight of overtaking makes you feel elated
Sane riding can give you upto 30 KMPL, as I have mentioned earlier
Rear tyre needs a hugger. Something like which FZ has. Duke and NS hugger will make it look ugly
After 140 I faced wind blast, the windshield is not that effective. I have ridden my friends N650 and did 145 without crouching. Maybe I can look into getting that windshield on mine( if possible )
Brakes should have been better, though its better than any Indian bikes but difference between N650 and N300 braking is quite evident
Heat radiated by the bike is quite manageable
Did 158 km/hr so far and I felt it can do another 20 till it redlines
Its a crowd puller. a Bigger bike feel, amnay people were surprised on hearing that its just 300cc. It can easily pass on as 600 cc machine
Hold its line in the corners, tyres are good, wet road performance is decent not extra ordinary
Slipper clutch- Downshifting is easy but never felt the difference, though never had tyre locking also
VFM: well its upto the owner to decide. I went by the instinct and booked it

I did 140+ only for a very short stretch on a open straight clear highway( 3-4 times though)..otherwise I stay below 120

Guys if you make a plan for South India trip, please think something challenging- so that we can compete with any ladakh ride As for us it is not very easy to make a ladakh ride anytime.

Nice trip log
Did the same route albeit from Huskur Gate via NICE to Mangalore last summer in about 4 hours and 10 mins with one 5 min stop for a few clicks at the river you guys clicked.
Set off at 11am and was home by 3:15 pm
That 4 lane highway is such a bundle of joy, i kept the throttle pinned open for an hour and half straight until the Ghat section arrived where it took me an hour just to do a 20km stretch at 5-10kmph :/
So how is the Ghat now? Roads are repaired or craters still visible?
Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

hey Nithesh, we zeroed on the route you mentioned but then wanted to explore the heavy rains also hence took this one. we weren't racing against the time so completed in in leisure. Regarding the road condition, the 40-50 km ghat section is still bad, craters are visible and I beleive have become worse in the rains. was getting frustrated because had to keep the throttle in check and Ninja is not at all sweet in broken roads, but all said and done the ghats and wet weather meant, the trip is really well done
