on Jan 26, but couldn't do it do to some reasons and said next weekend and the next weekend came again same case. Finally i did it on FEB 16 2014.
Yelagiri hiss is a small hill station in Vellore district, Tamil nadu. Its at an altitude of 3500 FT. Its a nice place far from commercialization.
Less crowded secure place hence it forms a good weekend getaway from Bangalore.
Plan
Yelagiri hills is around 160 KM from Bangalore(Whitefield to be precise) via Hosur, Krishnagiri. I have planned to start at 5AM and planned to leave Hosur by sun rise but i got up at 3AM and couldn't sleep hence started my ride at 4.23AM and left Krishnagiri by sunrise. I expected to reach Yelagiri by 7.30 but reached at 8.30 due to frequent stops.
Road condition is awesome(NH7 and Krishnagiri Chennai Highway. If you are going by Car you can reach their in 2 hrs, but it took me 4 hrs to reach there as i was on an 110 cc bike and took frequent brakes to check whether i am going on correct path.
If you check in google maps it shows you Below route don't take it as it takes more time and there is a possibility of closing the railway gate at Jolarpet. This road condition is quiet decent without any path holes but goes inside Jowlarpet hence there might be some traffic jam or people will be gossiping in the middle of the road and they won't move even you honk at them.
If you are traveling on 2 wheelers or willing to compromise on road condition(with pot holes) for 5KM then take this alternate road.
Alternate route
Photos of the place coming up..

) but good.
