Re: Day Rides
If I had a choice, I would prefer to be touring all year round[emoji4] but I do get out for longer rides whenever I can. There is typically no group that I ride with, as most of the rides are with Gurpratap. We have been riding buddies for a long time and with similar riding styles, wavelengths and idiosyncrasies each ride is enjoyable, as it should be. I personally don't enjoy riding in large groups and stay away from MCs.Originally posted by Doga View PostGood one mate. You are one habitual tourer and always in the same group.

Re: Day Rides
Aastad Bhote another friend and avid motorcycle enthusiast creates these beautiful pieces from motorcycle parts. He had an exhibition around a month ago at High Spirits here in Pune showcasing his talent and love for motorcycles. Should you want to purchase something kindly PM me so that I can share his number with you. These artifacts would be a wonderful addition as home decor for the passionate rider and could also make a different and treasured gift to someone else.

Re: Day Rides
Glad you liked this creative stuff. No rides this weekend, getting fed up with the last couple of weekend wet rides after which entails getting the bike & gear washed, chain lube and never ending chores that crop up after each ride. So, I'm going to kick back, watch MotoGP and ah yes, got JP coming over for dinner with tales from his recent trip to the Himalayas. [emoji4] [emoji482]Originally posted by Doga View Postwow. Re: Day Rides
These pictures are from Sunday's morning ride to Amby Valley. This ride had it all, from a heavy mist coupled with low visibility on the first leg to sunshine a little later in the hills, making this ride a memorable one.

Re: Day Rides
Keep riding mate. I remember when wife and myself were stuck 80 kms from Paris at a restaurant because of heavy rain. We were waiting for the rain to stop. We waited for 5 hours and it won't stop. Eventually decided to sacrifice our dry clothes at the altar of the rain Gods and set out.Turned out it was a narrow band of rain and within 10 mins we crossed it into bright sunshine

Re: Day Rides
[emoji3] who is to know what the Gods have in store for us. But, it is small things like this that make for rich memories, isn't it. During the wet season we do a fair amount of research using the weather app to see where and when rain is predicted, but nevertheless mother nature has her own mind and continually surprises us. The difference between riding in France and India in the rain would be the experience in terms of cleanliness where in India one comes back looking like eau de toilet.Originally posted by Doga View PostKeep riding mate.
