Re: Day Rides
Nice one.
Is that bungee cord hooked onto the rear number plate. If that is so, do you feel it reliable?

Re: Day Rides
Ah yes, I have no other place but the number plate to hook the bungee cord as I got rid of the stock fender which has a provision for the hooks and installed a tail-tidy kit. So far, so good as there haven't been any issues with regard to stability.Originally posted by rachitkohli View PostNice one.

Re: Day Rides
These set of pictures are from this weekend's rides. The first one on Saturday was to Lavasa where the turnout at the tapri before the entrance gate was in full swing with over forty bikes there. Came across this radically modified KTM 200 as well as another Ninja 300 which is like a rare sighting these days but to me always a happy moment. [emoji4]

Today which is Sunday, Gurpratap and I were joined by Deep (welcome Deep) who was astride his three month, 8000 km clocked Ducati Diavel. We chose a 100 km run towards Sholapur and then had some lip smacking vada pao whilst lazing in the sun and chatting. This was a high speed ride which was exhilarating to say the least.

Did he like cut off the back of his ktm? How is the ownership experience of ninja 300 and your friend's bonneville.Originally posted by akshay View PostThese set of pictures are from this weekend's rides. Yes, the owner of the KTM said he just chopped the rear part of the bike off and in the process shed 16 kilos of weight.Originally posted by somenath1061 View PostDid he like cut off the back of his ktm? How is the ownership experience of ninja 300 and your friend's bonneville.
With regard to ownership experience of my Ninja 300, I am happy with this bike which has been trouble free for almost 40000 KMS of predominantly highway riding. I usually ride with much higher powered bikes and have always been in the mix, so the N300 is no slouch I can tell you. The most likeable feature of this bike is the ability to pull long rides effortlessly which is even better nowadays since I got a gel seat installed. The bike is reliable, easily adapts to various types of terrain and also looks kick ass. The low ground clearance is perhaps the only bother here which makes this bike a no-no for any bad road riding.
Gurpratap's ThruxtonR which belongs to the Bonneville family of Triumph bikes has run about 8000 km and though aggressive in nature being a cafe racer continues to pull some super rides like the P2K=3K South India ride a couple of months ago. Like with most naked bikes the wind blast tends to induce rider fatigue faster than compared to faring bikes.Ride To Live

Check out this video from the ride to Indore a couple of weekends back. This was a trip filled with gastronomic delights and will take you on a culinary journey to the cooking of the maharajahs. Enjoy!

Re: Day Rides
Thanks. No shaddi or festival. This is an annual event called the Daly Cookout where ex-students prepare various dishes of their choice and invite other ex-students to partake in an afternoon extravaganza of gastronomic delights at the school campus.Originally posted by Doga View PostNice video there. Except for the security guys at the gate who saluted which they perhaps do for everyone I don't think anyone else did, unless I missed something. But it could also be that my friend Inder who is a Rajput, has the insignia of his clan embossed on his car which apparantly is quite respected by society in that neck of the woods.Ride To Live
