    Re: Xmas outing.

    Day 1 - Yercaud.

Since I come from Dollar's Colony and Shashank from Whitefield, we set our meeting point on the Elevated Expressway in Electronic City at 0500 hours. Fancy names right?

I reached the meeting point by 0445 and waited for Shank. He arrived on time.

Pleasantries exchanged we moved on! Morning air was a bit nippy and I was loving it. There was mild truck traffic but that was easily managed.
Only gripe about riding in cold weather is the number of impromptu pee stops.

Finally at about 0630, something magical happened.

We took some time to absorb it and decided to move forward. In about 10 minutes time, we had to stop for this!

It was an awesome moment. One of the most beautiful sunrise moments for me so far.
Learnt a few camera modes and techniques while taking this shot from Shank, who is into photography by profession.

From here, it was a continuous ride till Krishnagiri where we stopped at a dhaba for tea.
The banner had me in splits.

    Pandi dhaba.

Shashank was having a ball clicking pics of the dhaba and he looked happy and mesmerized like a 12 year old!

Few hours later of non stop riding and well, a dozen pee breaks as break points, we reached Salem and hit Yercaud's base.

We were hungry already. But there was a problem. Shank had to visit a loo soon. Still, we thought of getting a few things ticked off the itinerary first.
Headed to perfume paradise and got a few bottle for us. 100 rupees a piece is pure bargain for what you get!
Thereafter, we headed to Shevaroy hills.

This by far is my favorite place in Yercaud.

Mesmerized by the serene air, moreover compounded by his Delhi belly, Shank started threatening me of dire consequences. We descended back and visited Hotel Waterfront which had good amenities. After emptying and refilling our stomachs, we headed back to the evening madness of Bangalore.

Both of us had nasty scares on the way, but it was a day to remember. It was already almost 10 PM by the time I reached. Slept early as we had another destination for the next day!

I thought you weren't riding. Rest all in our group had plans. My plans were made a little late.
By the way, it has been really a long time I rode with you all. Hope we ride soon.

              Re: Xmas outing.

I don't have pics to share for the first day as I hardly took my camera out. However, for the 2nd day I have a lot of pics (Pillion cam rocks!!).
Anyway will share the four that I clicked along the way on day one -

The place where my Delhi belly was finally happy. It's a unit of Shevaroys resorts and hence the prices are steep. One chicken noodles worth 145 and quantity was so less that I had to do away with 6 potato bondas from nearby chai shop.

Should have went to an average restaurant bro. Big ones are plain rip off. Also street food are just "try your luck" . either you'll be fine or you'll need to stop every 1km , defacto loose motion

Not many options in many popular tourist spots you see. Plus, the more important task at hand was a hygienic restroom than good food.

                    ---------
                    Day 2 - Sravanbelagola.

With us returning late at night the previous day, we didn't leave early morning as much as we wanted to. In fact we were late by a good 5 hours!

Shank was accompanied by the lovely J as pillion and we hit the roads by 10 AM.
City traffic was fun and irritating at the same time.

Soon we hit the Nelamangala stretch and zoomed off!
I might share the video clips in the evening.

Roads were pretty straight forward. 130 kms of straight roads and then a left into the villages for 12 kms.

The ascend to the top to see the 1000 year old monolith was a good exercise for legs though! Carrying water aplenty highly recommended!

Will let the pics do the talking now!
