16 APRIL MAHENDERNAGAR TO BARDIA NATIONAL PARK 165 KM

A quick breakfast and we left Mahender Nagar at 8.30.Roads were in awesome conditions with shiny black tarmac. With a couple of short breaks, we reached Inside of Bardia National Park at 1.30 pm and straight went to Premji's jungle cottage Referred by our well known BCMT member Arshad bhai. The cottage was almost 10 km inside from the main highway, a non-existent road with a small river crossing. 1000 NPR for the room with some healthy parking space was quite a good deal for three of us.Unloaded the bikes, filled the empty stomachs and we straight went to Bardia national park's office for the jungle safari.12000 NPR was a bit too high for us for the Jungle safari, some negotiations and the cost came down to 10000.We were on a budget and really don't want to miss the opportunity for what we came for.Settled for the deal and paid 3500 NPR advance for the morning's first Safari. It was almost past 4 pm when a local suggested a nice place nearby called sunset picnic spot. The place was really beautiful with nice and calm environment along with the flowing river.Golden hour was on its peak when the sun settled down with the golden aura.Evening was majestically spent watching a beautiful sunset on a hot day.Not much to talk about after the sunset as we went to our room for the sleep after having pasta and noodles.

17 April Bardia National Park to Lumbini 280KM

Woke up early morning at 6 and we were ready for the jungle safari at sharp 7 am.Hopes were really high to see the tiger, but we couldn't found a single one except some few deer and crocodiles.
It wasn't a great day for three of us who spent 10000 NPR for the safari.I would not recommend anyone to make a plan to visit Bardia National Park for wildlife.Reason: The number of animals is very less in the park.It was a total waste of money what we felt and left the Bardia with heavy hearts at 1 pm for the day's journey. We cruised at the speeds of 90-100 for the rest of the day with some photography breaks. At 7.30 pm, we were almost 100 km away from the birthplace of Buddha (Lumbini).Riding behind a bike in complete darkness having lots of blue Led's and strobe was really a pain, so I turned the throttle and didn't look back. All the hotels were closed when we reached Lumbini at 10, But somehow managed to get the room at 800 NPR with WI-FI just behind the main market. We were really amazed by getting wi-fi everywhere in Nepal.Wasn't an eventful day other than riding at night was horrible where you hardly see any soul on the roads.

                          Route of the day

                          Day started

                          Our guide

                          Welcome to Bardia ha ha

                          Chalo bandar to nazar aaye

                          Ahan caught something

                          selfie selfie

                          Deers

                          They were also disappointed

                          Only one rhino found

                          Let's catch up with crocodiles

                          And we left Bardia

Very nice pics bro. Few are really awesome. Liked ur wallpaper too. This route is always in my favorite list. Though have to figure out how & when to materialize.

My solicitude for Nepal on the biggest shake. Saw few pics in ur teasers and heart felt heavy to see many old structures damaged & can feel the pain of the people there who have lost their dears.

Looks like u started ur journey before the earth quake hit and ur teasers says u were there during the quake.

I pray all the earth quake affected places to be BAU soon and God give them the strength to recover from the nightmare.
