Looks like u started ur journey before the earth quake hit and ur teasers says u were there during the quake.

I pray all the earth quake affected places to be BAU soon and God give them the strength to recover from the nightmare.

Here's a video of 26th morning when we left Kathmandu
25th April 2015 was the black day in history of Nepal when an earthquake magnitude of 7.4 struck the land of temples. When it happened we were at Vasundhara chowk (Kathmandu ).The worst day of our lives n luckiest too that we came out unscratched. This video is shot next day when we were leaving Kathmandu, It was disturbing to see the collapsed buildings.Hope Nepalese people are recovering fast from the disaster which shook their world from the core.

          Pray for them.

            Which place is this..
I am from nepal and live in kathmandu.
My area is totally unharmed from the quake.
Was in my room while the quake did hit.It was terrible and didnt move far away from my house for many days.
Now a days there are remainings but most of them are cleared so dont get to see such sites.
Thanks god for saving us and yeah nepal is slowly recovering.

17 APRIL LUMBINI TO POKHRA 245 KM

Woke up little late at 8 and soon we were ready to visit the birthplace of Lord Buddha.
                          LUMBINI
Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, in the Terai plains of Nepal is one of the greatest pilgrimage sites for Buddhists. More than 400,000 Buddhists and non Buddhists visit Lumbini every year. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Culture) and holds immense archeological and religious importance.
Lumbini is the place where the Buddha, known as the Tathagata was born.
The birthplace of the Gautama Buddha, Lumbini, is the Mecca of every Buddhist, being one of the four holy places of Buddhism.
It was going to be the long day, so we decided to fill our tummy before the proceedings.By the 12 pm we left Lumbini for the beautiful lake city Pokhra.By mistake, we left the turn which goes to Pokhra and we had to cover almost 50 km more to join the same highway.Again we had to ride in the night to reach the destination. We reached Pokhra at exactly 10 pm and the search for the room started.Got the neat and clean room with 3 beds for 1200 NPR.

                          Route map of the day

Greeted with some wonderful architecture ( A temple inside the arena )

Praying flags were all over the ground

Here we saw the first view of the temple where lord buddha was born

Some shots of the temple and around

Chants of Buddha in the air was making the place more blissfull

Photography was prohibited inside the main temple, so I decided to click some shots outside after the visit of birth place

Ruins just in front of the temple

                          A saint

We left the holy place and straight went to a dhaba for the lunch, meanwhile dhaba owner was preparing food I decided to walk around a little.
                          And that's what i got

Here comes the food with many dishes

Came back after finishing the lunch and quickly we loaded the bikes.

                          Our hotel of Lumbini

And we left the birth place of Buddha

Met a traveller name Viajay verma from Banglore , who was on a Nepal ride too on his Scooter.

What a beautiful road it was..simply mesmerising

Then sun started play of light and shadow with lovely views en route.

A little village along the road

At 8 pm we were just 20 km away from the pokhra and this was the dhaba where we stopped for dinner.

What we got for the dinner and I always enjoys the highway food as usual

This was the last shot which I clicked and later we settled at Pokhra to end the day.

Stay connected I will update as soon as possible...Thanks
