thanks guys!
was i scared, no. but v. tired i was.
i knew i had kept my bike in good condition and knew that she wouldn't break down on me. i had plenty of spares in case anything did happen. but NONE of the spares were used apart from the spare tubes.
in any case, even if something serious had happened, eventually, someone or the other would have come up the same way. the place may be deserted, especially in the off season, but that doesn't mean that you won't see any vehicles. you also have recovery vehicles standing by.
i think i'm very stupid by nature and don't have much ability to think, this is what really helped me get through!

... a few more ...
Attempted tyre inflation at South Pullu. The army was very helpful, but we couldn't fill any air in the flat, and I had to ride on till Leh as is. Took a video clip of the event too. Best of all the clips and pictures to be posted by the end of this month, so please be patient!

For some reason people keep saluting me! Here's the proof!

Thanks guys, but seriously. It's not such a big deal to do a trip to ladakh. One has to thank the Border Roads Organisation. Without them this trip ain't possible.
You think biking there is a big deal, there guys were gonna do it on cycles ... that too via tsomoriri, very very bad terrain.
Pic taken infront of the rest house I was staying at.

if you are probably not strapped for time, you could try going to shimla and then manali. a much more interesting ride. go upto rohtang too.
hope you guys have a good ride!\"Faster, Faster, Until The Thrill Of Speed Overcomes The Fear Of Death\"-Dr. Hunter S. Thompson

well yeah you could say it did. day 2, managed to get a puncture in the front trye at baralacha la (16,500 feet). i had ridden for quite a few hours, and suddenly this puncture. anyways, having few choices i rode on, thank god, there was a puncture repair chap at sarchu. i was hoping that the tube hadn't been damaged. anyways, he opens up the tyre. puts a puncture. puts the tyre back on, fills in air, and air starts leaking again! damn! took out the tube again, found out that quite a bit of the inner lining had ruptured. then put a truck tyre puncture on that. put it back again. then found out that the valve had become defective and was leaking slowly. by now i was fed-up. and he didn't have a spare. so the next day bascially i rode on with a faulty valve till leh. not such a good idea, i think now.quote:Originally posted by MotoPsycho
too much man thats the only thing nice man did the trip get freeky anytime.. envy u man ...
another one was the time when i did the second trip to nubra. got late. reached khardung la pretty late at 7:00 P.M. but because i got late, i managed to get some beautiful views of the sunset. it was amazing. and everyone else was in their tents, so i had the pass to myself, so to say. [8D] anyways, it finally became dark, the entire road from khardung la to leh was deserted, that was one helluva ride. all it took was a bird and a rabbit to scare the **** out of me during the journey back ...
then the day i was going to lamayuru, some parts the road was good, so i was like taking really banked turns, scraping the side stand etc. when finally on one u-turn, the rear wheel lost grip, thats was scary. no doubt.\"Faster, Faster, Until The Thrill Of Speed Overcomes The Fear Of Death\"-Dr. Hunter S.
