These photos don't do justice. You can't judge the depth or distance. That snow was just a few metres away, yet inacessible due to the terrain.

Here are some more pictures ....

A horse, Pangong Tso in the background, the road you see on the opposite side goes to Marmisik La, the highest motorable road in the world.

Tranquility. I was all alone there. Just sitting at the edge. Watching the lake. It was so beautiful. So peaceful. Pic taken on Self Timer.

it's a mixture of emotions and feelings ... tiredness nullified by excitement. hot sun rays nullified by the cold dry winds. and the stuff you see makes the hair at the back of your neck stand!

the road keeps going on, but you can't ride it ...

... why do we need borders?

It's that time of the morning again! Photo time!

            Man I'm getting fed-up re-sizing images one at a time ...

There was this smaller lake (dunno what else to call it) before Pangong Tso. This picture was taken when I stopped on the way back. Very peaceful.

i like the kind of metal u are made up of and ya doing such stuff alone requires all guts. gr8 going. did the leh trip in 93 but that was with by friend Avinash. and with two of us it was really lonely and sometimes scarry with wild dogs which we encountered once. Happy birthday. is it today or tom.

                          • Hey Nik, read ur 9500 words trip log...good news is that it didnt put me to sleep- bad news is that u better check the write up again- pics have been repeated for different days...
Anyway man, u surely had a ball out there & I can understand how attached u became to the place- 1 week in Dharamshala (without bikes) was good enuf for me!!!
Well now I guess since u r famous in the region, we can use ur name as a reference so that the army dont bother any of the prospective riders to that place! Also funny was the yak episode- but how did it manage a 180 degrees jump? [B)][xx(]
True blue biker met other tru blue bikers- enfields, TDM etc etc...a big salute to motorcycling...u just joined the big league !!!
To prevent tyre mishaps. I guess next time u shud consider using puncture resistant lubes in the tyres and carry a mini pump atleast so that u can roll on without much effort when u get a flat.[8D]

It is in places like these I guess when a lot of questions comes to one's mind...life can be seen in perspective...the world seems to be surreal & ur life as well!...someday, I will b riding up those heghts & probably will get u to take me there...now u have the chance to become a actual tourist guide!!!![]

Blessed are those who live life on motorcycles![8D][}]

If u remember other tidbits do share man...
Happy birthday once again dude...21 years, many more mountains to climb...

                              • hey nik have a gr8 day today. happy birthday man.
so u can vote now ehhhhhh!!!!!
well dont laugh now we used my companys bajaj Super 150 scooter. now u have to believe me that not once did the bike stall, not one puncture, the spark plug was not opened even once and yes it got many hits from stones to the lower right side of the engine. But it never stalled. i guess when its not ur bike it works well. My bull would certainly not do all this without any hiccups. but the scooter was good to carry all our luggage and all the old monks we needed.
