Day 2

We are at the hotel now and having already got the directions towards one of the beaches we head on out.

Time: 3:10 pm and we hit the first beach. Its pretty crowded and we really could not do 'the thing' which we wanted to do at this beach.
we just indulge in some photography and in 15 mins we were off towards another beach called Kapaad beach where we could do 'the thing'..

and we were off.. towards Kapaad beach . It was about 30kms from the main calicut beach.

On the was we crossed a bridge which was built in 1938..



Looking from the bridge and we could see some beautiful backwaters and Niranjan find a cut road that leads us there and ofcourse ..we take it..

and this is what we find there..

all of a sudden...!! they are every where..!!







they kept asking for rides.. some even wanted to ride it alone and asked atul the keys and some learned to operate Niranjans remote system.

Some kids borrowed johns glasses for the snaps .!!

John , eric and Ninja gave the kids short rides on the beach and they sure had fun...!









and what did john have to say after all this..?? a picture worth a thousand words..


but he had a lot of fun splashing around..



it was waaay after sundown when we left the beach and the 220's head light proved its worth..! lighting up the entire place..

Time now :7:00 pm a good 3 hours at the beach later we head on back to the city and hunt down a restaurant . It was called SAGAR and it had the best food we had soo far.

After the filling ourselfs to the brim with amazing food we go to Nijishs house and spend the night there watching the snaps and videos taken on his HD monitor.. and crash on to the beds by about 12 deciding to get up by 4:30 am the next morning .

End of day 2

Thanks buddy.. nope i could not bring my bike to the beach, Nijish wanted it for some work at his house so had to leave it with him. missed it a lot..

Its post 4:30 am and atul is the only guy up and kicking everybody to wake up. We are finally up by 5:30ish and leave Nijishs house after tea and a lube session ( for our bikes of course )post 6:30 am..

We stick to the good but slightly long route, not much stopping and it was just go go go.. just couple of route check stops and we were soon at the famous Hairpin heaven and we made a stop for a short photo shoot.



The same place from where we had stopped.




we moved on from there exited about the turns ahead.. but were totally disappointed . the roads for most of the up climb was bad exactly at the corners and were full with slow moving trucks.
Soon we reached Wayanad and stopped for breakfast again many a appams and puri's later we were on the road again. John Ninja and Eric were up ahead enjoying the good stretch that had opened up and atul and I were cruising along the beautiful place.
We were nearing the border and the forest roads had begun. we make a stop . I still dont remember why.. but had fun fooling around .

from here on we were in no mood for stopping and just keep going and going..

Somebody who wanted to hitch a ride to bangalore and tried to tag along with Eric..

time now:12:10 pm

we were off soon and deciding that we would stop for lunch only at Maddur McDonalds..

Cruising along the Mysore-Bangalore highway we spot 2 more tourers . On a closer inspection.. ;p they turned out to be friends of ours.. Chetan and his brother returning from Coorg. We ride together and stop at Mc-Donalds.

by around 4:30 we were off and by 6 we were back at Johns place where it had all began..!

Tired..sleepy.. butt sore... hungry and just wanting to sleep badly.. would we do it again.. ??
