Thank you very much Razor!Originally posted by razorBlades View Postwhoa man! great read and a much greater ride
kudos to you for completing it mate!

those are some scary incidents man! seriously, blood from eye, I might have given it up then and there
I really missed the company man. Riding alone was just TOO boring. But then when I look at the other side of it, I think it was nice that I went solo. Because had something gone wrong, especially after that bleeding incident, and if I had to abort the ride then it could have been a loss of the entire group. Anyways.. Jo bhi hota hai acche ke liye hota hai
You take care of your health and see you soon someday!
Thank you sir. Yes I absolutely agree with your statement that no ride is more imp than one's life. But I don't know what made me take that decision and resume the ride. May be the sheer feeling that the bleeding has stopped and I can see things properly gave me some confidence of continuing the ride. But even then, I know it was a silly decisionOriginally posted by nav75 View PostCongrats on completing the ride.
After reading your description, you should not have continued riding specially after bleeding from your eyes. No ride is as important as one's life.
Hope you have shown the eye to a specialist.
Well...... I haven't been to any eye specialist yet
But will get it done soon. As I said I haven't even got the blood stained 'clava out of my bike yet
If my mom sees it then am dead meat. Pakka!
Yes brother, I'll get it checked soon. But as of now it's better with no pain, Fortunately.!Originally posted by dineshsamtani View PostMan....you deserve all every single bit of the appreciation.....you are a rockstar to complete the ride even after going through all the incidents you described...specially your eye....take care of it and show it to some eye specialist to confirm that there are no hidden damages.....
Take care and hope to meet you soon in the upcoming GTG
Ohh no man..I haven't done anything that great. Seriously. But thanks a lot for your appreciationOriginally posted by nipunblaze135LS View PostMan you need standing ovation!
Congrats!

Yes man... The whole body starts giving upOriginally posted by ranga13 View Postthanks a lot ketan.. jus went through ur whole log... tats a great achievement dude... i know the pain of saddle sore and that you with all those hurdles... great.... well done mate.... keep it up.... and all the best with your documentation work.....
especially the Butt! And seating on an R15 like an insect for so many hours makes the knees go totally numb. The most painful parts of my body were the wrists, palms and knee joints of course not to mention the Butt
Surprisingly no major pain in the back or waist portion.
And bout the documentation, I've sent an email to Mr. Michael Kneebone but I dont know what's wrong. Because there was a time when I was in touch with Mr. Kneebone via emails. And now am not getting any reply from him. Don't know if it's a problem with my email a/c or something. Will have to check with it.
Let's see! Thanx for the wishes!Ketan Nikharge.

Awesome.Kudos to you for having completed the journey even if you suffered pains and what not. Seriously, Veins getting pierced due to pressure and blood coming out of one's eye would shaken up any hardcore biker's determination. It's amazing how you still continued and completed the journey without a hiccup. And boy you have described the whole experience so well that it just can't get any better than this.
And finally Congratulations for having completed the toughest test a biker would undergo i.e A Saddle Sore!!

I very well understand what you mean to say brother. That's nothing but the lack of experience my friend. When I was new in touring, even a small 150+150 kms round trip to Pune used to feel like a mammoth ride and used to beat the hell out of me. As the time goes on your stamina increases automatically. So am pretty sure one day you'll be a super hero tooOriginally posted by vineeth areth View PostNo brother...You are.. riding 400-500km at a stretch itself is really tough thing for me n and at the end of these rides i used to feel as a real HERO, reading your 1700km log there is no other name to address you other than "SUPER HEROOOO"

Just keep riding and riding and riding
I haven't done anything extra ordinary. Only, I faced some serious troubles which others may not have faced during their saddle sore!
Take care! Ride Safe!Ketan Nikharge.

Which 1500 kms. stretch you are talking about, I'd love to know if that kinda stretch exists in India?Originally posted by rachitkohli View Post
One general question : I read the tough roads around hubli. Why not riding towards North is considered to achieve this kind of records. The roads are superb for more than 1500kms.
You have really made me restless now
.
you Restless: Am toh feeling dreamless
@Ketan: blood wala part is really scary, now your endurance speak for itself...

Thanks Kashif bhai!Originally posted by tourer_kashif View PostKetan Bhai,
Just went trough the whole log agian...I am really inspired by your determination.
Keep rocking
Rachit, now even I feel it would have been better if I had taken the route which you had mentioned after coming back from your Leh ride. The stretch where the Bullet rider used to literally put the bike on auto pilot and have chocolates n allOriginally posted by spiderweb View PostWhich 1500 kms. stretch you are talking about, I'd love to know if that kinda stretch exists in India?

Yeah even am curious to know if such a route exists. Will be of great help to many like us.
Spidy bhaiyya, yes it was damn scary. I just went to get thr bike washed and have got the bloody 'clava home
Of course without my mom noticing it. It's a photogenic article man..
The small blood stains on pure white 'clava..
Thanks brotherOriginally posted by ayebot View PostCongrats bro, you've shown grit and determination in completing the SS and put it in words beautifully as well!
Cheers to you man, inspirational stuff!
Thanks winzee. Like I said, it's not just because of the 'clava. the clava was of thick cotton material. Helmet padding was already snug. When I first put my helmet on it felt so tight that I had to push it hard from top to make my head enter inside. It was that tight. That must have put some pressure on the ears and the veins passing. My eye started paining after sometime but I ignored it thinking sleep as the reason. Also the road made me stretch my already paining eye even more.Originally posted by winzeee View PostWoah Awesome, Ketan seriously scary stuff,But still u did it man Hats off to you Bro.
Have u got ur eye checked ??
I dont think its because of the balaclava
W
So adding all these reasons must have finally caused the blood to trickle down. Am sure my eye must have turned red way before it actually bleeded. But due to darkness I must have not noticed the red eyes.
