A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

          • Weather Update!!

I had been to Ahmedabad last week.
The weather was Extremely HOT and DRY..

We reached there at around 6:30 when it was still pleasant breeze blowing, we went and rested in our rooms and the moment we stepped out for breakfast at around 9:30 ish, i could feel the heat.

At around 11 you could not even be in a shade with FANs etc, an AC was like a must to have thing.

For the guys who are riding via Gujrat, i would recomment riding at night and getting some hotel room and staying back from 11:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. atleast.
The hot blasts of air are really horrible, de hydrate horribly and burns the skin too.
Take care while riding through these hot and dry states, all the best guys!!!!

Respect the nature and it will respect you back.....

I bought brand new shoes @ 250. Had posted photographs also earlier.

@ spidey - Let me buy medicines for whole group. No point both of us buying them. We will divide them in Manali. All should buy Enterogermina for own use since the first dosage should be on the first day of tour and the second one 48 hours after that. Everything else will be bought by me.

Also good quality goggles are MUST to avoid snow glare and headaches. Also due to high altitute, UV rays are extremely powerful so try to wear goggles at all times you are out in sun. Sunblock is also for the same.

What are your dates for the tour? If it is after our tour, I can lend you a brand new pump (provided Jakrap agrees since he owns it)

For starters & Practice, I did ride down to Amby/Lonavla/pune for every past 4 Sundays.
I have also some apprehension about Rudra's riding. No one other than Inder has seen his riding. He has bought his avenger recently so he is not very familiar with the bike itself. He seems to be fairly sensible person but his riding skills is a big question mark.

In fact, I had requested Inder to bring him for Amby G2G. I honestly don't know why he is not coming for any ride since it is always better to know your riding buddies with whom you will be riding for 15 days.

Eh, I said I will buy this no? I found a chain cleaning solution (Motul) for 450 bucks for a 400 ml can. Is this worth it? How many should I buy? Are there better brands I can buy? I also looked for 90 number oil for chain oiling, but so far I have been unsuccessful in finding it. Will try another two or three shops tomorrow and update you guys. Let me know if the Motul chain cleaner is worth it and how many cans you think we'll need.

                        • Buy the yamaha lube, its a better buy!
You could also buy a smaller TVS lube from any SVC for the RTR (its a smaller cheaper but nice one!)

Satyen, I'll take the GPS from you if you are in Mumbai now, lemme know when n where can i meet you.
though I have a GPS enabled phone, I'll prefer to take the GPS device itself from here.

Well just take the used oil which you'll replace from your bike, that'll do just fine.
