BTW - @ Inder - WAKE UP. What happened to Hotel Info? Have you collected saddle bags and GPS from Satyen? As you know, Saddle bags are things that you can put your luggage in and tie to the rear seat of your bike. You may not know it but you need them for Leh ride.

I don't know about others but if I don't hear from Inder/Rudra by day end, I will be booking my hotel room in Mandi, Manali & Leh. This is peak tourist season and I don't want to go around hunting for rooms after a day long riding. Anybody else with me on this?

I thought I was the one out thinking about ways to make money on this ride. Now you are not even riding and making money? But that's ok, Some other senior paaji member is planning to collect bags from you in near future so he can bear the cost.

I thought I already replied about GPS rent. The rent will be Rs.10 for the whole journey, payable in equal yearly installments and the installments to be collected from payer's office after submitting 15 day written notice.

Oh no no! That was for GPL, thats a rent I will pay you to give GPL to all on my behalf!

I hope you guys are following the thread on BCMT about manali - leh road. As per update there, it is closed and might take another week before it opens.

I'll suggest be prepared with your backup plan just in case the road doesn't open in time.
