Take the Srinagar-Leh highway. It will be in a bad state but still you guys can reach Leh via that route and while coming back take the Manali-Leh highway which should be up and running by that time.

Change of plans. Motor and me will be riding with Spidey around 8 or 9pm. Someone I know tells us that leaving at 9pm on Saturday means we will face extreme traffic uptil Virar but frankly I'd rather wait for Spidey and brave the initial traffic and have a FUN ride for the rest of the way than do this without him. We will post the exact time in a bit. Glad you're riding with us Spidey!!!Comment

^^ Thts a real great news. Ull not only face traffic near virar but also in Gujrat.
I guess ull easily reach Ahmadabad by 8.00 am tomm widout ny probs. If u can push urself it would be not that difficult to ride on till Udaipur & reach there by 4.00pm, but tht would mean ull have to drive in heat.
I would suggest u reach Ahmadabad & find a place to sleep & get back on road by 4.00 pm. By then u would be fresh to ride the whole night & 1st morning ull be able to be around Delhi.
Dont try to push urself tooo hard, if u feel sleepy park the bike & go to sleeep. Dont listen to Spidy's dialogs "Bas 100Km toh aur jaana hain, chalooo chaloooo"

Update:
Zozila has opened up for light vehicles and bikes. Got a call from Gaurav (Sticky12) who is in Sonamarg and will be attempting to cross Zozila in a few minutes. But it has snowed heavily and the road...well...its wonderfully horrible

^^ Ok let me ellaborate.
Reasons for not getting the no.
- Andheri RTO didnt issue the transfer letter to the dealer cause the bike never enetered Mumbai. RTO says u cannot sell a bike from Mumbai if it has not entered Mumbai (Verfied statement)
- Cannot get the bike in Mumbai widout TR registration done, which requires Mumbai Octroi to be paid. Which would mean I would have to pay octroi two times.
- Finally dealer decided to show the bike as been purchased from Bhivandi instead of Andheri, this decision was made on Firday.
- The dealer got the sale letter from Bhivandi on Monday.
- Tuesday no electricity at Thane RTO.
- Wednesday RTO was clearing Monday & Tuesday backlog.
- Thursday Agent says new No series has started so the No's will be alloted from 3.00 pm. Had taken the bike to RTO on thursday.
- Friday, No not yet alloted, all special no's will be alloted first like 1111, 9999 etc. Wht a stupid system
- Sturday tooo pissed off to call the agent to get a new excuse.
Thts the timeline/eventlog. Now ive a sticker wid a dummy no, so atleast I can ride the bike. Jst hoppin the cops r fooled by it.------------
