                  If you move out at 3pm you will most probably hit ahmedabad at midnight.....By car it takes 9 hrs max bikes are quite a bit faster and knowing you guys you will reach in 7.30 hrs with 3 -4 stops......... 1 every 2 hrs.......ALL THE BEST GUYS , RIDE SAFE.............

                    Oh ok, thank you for the estimates Mastermind sir. In which case we will probably continue riding until we wear out and stop when we can't ride anymore - covering as much distance as we can during the night

                      I you guys can push directly till udaipur (739 KMs) then you dont have to go upto Ahmedabad, you have to take a straighter route from a place called Anand just after vadodara..... check out google maps so that you dont have to travel extra in case you guys are pushing at night....

                          Dinesh you are correct for udaipur there is a way from anand, but i will suggest u guys to stick to National Highway No. 8 as its a four track highway with divider and is much safer, while the road from anand to udaipur is without divider.On NH8 one can continuously cruze at 100km/hr.

                            The straight road ur talkin bout is probably the Expressway & bikes r not allowed on it.

                            Pls chk the map though.

                              This thread has become like a daily sop for me, i just cant stay away from it for a single day.

                              And please if possible do update about the road status i.e. manali leh road or srinagar leh road by whichever way u go, as i am suppose to leave for Leh from Mumbai on 5th June 2010, will probably reach manali by 6th evening & leh by 10th evening.

                              I would be driving to leh in my Black Mahindra Scorpio DX. Regn No. MH05AJ0862.
