Well apart from that, the other creative thing that I did was to design a tail bag. Its based on the original design from Ketan, but with a lot of changes to make it one comprehensive touring bag

I can get people discounts if you want to book them.

Changes done:
- the Bag now has about 2X of thickness which can be used by a 2 step chain
- The sidepockets are 10 inches in depth and have been made as a pouch so that you can use them to the fullest (like storing tool kit etc) when the bag is in the Shrink mode as well as the full mode.
- The Bag has a small pouch that can hold an iPod or a Phone or GPS or a small map etc AND can be detached and used as a small magnetic tank bag :P
- The D clips have been changed to tougher metallic ones, so that you can tie stuff or use bungee net etc over it!
- The Bag has now been fortified with some fiber padding, which can also double up as a nice back rest...!
- The rain cover now goes under the bag and has been made with a thread based lock (like your helmet covers etc) to avoid the weary elastic
- The back of the bag now has a nylon net which can be rolled out and used to store bottles, wet clothes etc!
- The reflector piping has been re done so that it adds more visibility from behind.

At full mode the Bag can store a good 4 thick blankets!

Need to check it out but you have one customer here because I liked the Ketan one.Btw what will be the cost for same?

I will get the bag next weekend so will show it to you. I dont know how much you appreciate mutants and hybrids :P but this one is like one mutant version of Ketans bag!

For chota mota tours you will probably NOT need the saddle bag anymore!

The price should be about 3k, can be lowered if I can get decent orders!

Paaji, Have you finalised your program? Just now read some comments that you are thinking of riding down. Should I cancel your tickets? What about tickets of your room mate and someone from Mumbai for whom you asked me to book tickets?

I am modifying the first two days plan a eeny weeny bit for myself and another surprise member.

Things finished:
- Got my shoes done,
- Arranged for the spares should be with me from the SVC by tomorrow,
- Neccessary approvals from family :P

Things that should be done soon:
- Waiting for the tail bag,
- One small custom fabrication work to mount the phone/GPS/Camera on the bike
- Waiting for the new Carb from Joel


Shopping to do:
- Phone Battery
- Plastic sheets!
- An extra thermal wear
- Tyre and Tube (saturday hopefully)
- Medicines :P

Other Risks:
- My gear is making weird noise, its being worked upon, might mean I am poorer by a small fortune, and or am riding another bike (FZ/R15)
- My leaves are yet to be approved -but my resignation letter is ready!
- My folks were touring manali - leh and my dad cuaght the AMS bug... so this would mean more convincing :P

Sorry for being absent from the thread for so long. Things have been a lil crazy on the work front. Confirming my presence for the Leh trip. I still have to start getting my act together. Will begin in a couple of days.

PS: Satyen, wrt your Facebook comment, why is the Leh ride in "trouble"?

CURRENT STATUS OF THE RIDERS: Guys As I'v heard that Inder will be accompanied by his 2 more friends, so I guess if all the listed people in the confirmed list are IN, then we need to divide in 2 groups.
Because total will be 9+ = Time consuming / trouble / Delays / fukkups.
Do think on this part, I wont be very keen on riding in a group this big.
