On a serious note, let's set up a time and have a conference call or something so that we can divide the responsibilities amongst the confirmed riders.

Is there any confirmed rider currently not allocated any common item purchases? This is a pending item -

- Chain cleaning kit and 90 number oil for chain oiling

Also I sincerely request all riders to confirm details of their purchases, bike servicing etc. so all can keep track.

@Spidey: I'll go ahead and confirm my ride with Motor. Motor and me will ride on the 29th according to Motor's original plan. If Cosgeo can join us he will. As for you, I'm assuming you will be riding on the 30th (or not).

@Vishwas: Please note: Motor and me are riding on the 29th and will meet you at Delhi. I will look at the detailed plan and discuss it with you and Aman (who we are to meet in Delhi as well) over the phone and post the specifics online.

Yesterday I met a doctor couple I know. Those guys have been to Leh for last 3 years on bicycle. They have listed the medicines which we need to carry -

Medicines –
1. Dimox – 250 mg to be taken one every day with breakfast after crossing 10000 ft. Possible Side effect – parasthesia – tingling numbness in limbs. Salt to be used in case of side effects observed.
2. Combiflam – max. dosage – 1 tablet 3 times a day. After food. Not to be taken on empty stomatch.
3. Domstal MT – 5 / 10 mg to be kept under tongue for prevention of nausea and vomiting. Max. dosage – 1 tablet 3 times a day
4. Enterogermina – Zenica Astra – 5 ml plastic vial to be drank with 1 half glass of water and to be repeated once after 48 hours. Prevents travellers’ diarrhea. (since this needs to be taken on the first day of travel, I believe that everyone should buy own)
5. Decdan – this is a steroid. Only to be used for prevention of severe headache, vomiting due to high altitude sickness.
6. Levocet – 5 mg – Anti Allegic – 1 tablet to be taken if suffering from any allergy.
7. Sunscreen – Min 30 spf required (to be acquired individually)
8. Rablet – 20 mg – reduces acidity. People are unable to eat due to high altitude so high chances of acidity.
9. Chlorine drops – to purifying water.
10. Becosul Z – Multivitamine tablet – one to be taken by everyone every night.
11. Xplode – Emcure - energy drink – sachet of 40-50 ml to be added to 450 ml water. Gives enough calories for a day

Item no. 10 & 11 are for having sufficient nutrition. Doctor says that you don't feel much hunger and so tend to eat very less.

High Altitude and lower oxygen level also creates irritation, unnecessary fights etc so if anyone is fighting without sufficient reason during the ride, others need to understand that he is suffering from high altitude sickness and move away without fighting.

At least one bottle of water needs to be carried every day and consumed while riding. Due to cold weather, you don't feel thirst so chances of dehydration are very high.

@ Spidey - Are you confirmed for the ride? From your previous post, it seems so. Will you be buying those medicines or should I do it?

@ Inder - Can you please collect GPS from satyen and understand how to operate it? Also can you please collect second foot pump from animeher? It stays and works in Koregaon Park - Mundhwa area so should be easy for you. When are you collecting tripod from me?

@ Inder - please bring rudra out from the closet and post some search results about hotels, rates also.
