Productive ?!! Seriously selling yourself at 5 in the morning to your clients with happy hour rates is not to be termed productive.

The Big g***d has no plans of getting back to pune i guess.Too much business in bangy itself. New location premium prices.

Screw office tours i badly wanna get my bike out and breathe some fresh air. Clutch plate change and wheel alignment pending. Lets see

Vivek s got exams .No rides till Dec 1st week.

        • Some wise words,before i left Chitrakoot

Around 30 Kms before Allahabad it started to Drizzle and it turned into heavy rains very soon.Another trouble,my bike got punctured, couldn't find any puncture shop for 10-15 Kms .I was very much worried about the tyre as i had a long way to go.Reached a small town, there i found one puncture shop.I was not carrying any rain gear,so got completely drenched in the rain.In 20-30 mins punctures were fixed and i was ready to roll. There were 04 punctures in the rear and tyre and this is the reason why the tyre lost the air immediately.I reached Allahabad and headed for "TRIVENI Sangam".Where the three Holy rivers of India meet.Ganga,Yamuna and Mystic Saraswati.Usually the place is very crowded. But due to heavy rain from last 1-2 hours. The place was completely empty. So i took my bike till the end from where you can hire a boat and go to the Sangam Point.

          Yamuna - So Calm

One can actually take a boat and go to the Sangam and even take a dip.As the Sangam point is very shallow. Before taking the boat i noticed the flow of Ganga and Yamuna.Flow of Ganga was quite agressive and fast. But Yamuna's flow was slow, calm and composed. While Saraswati is believed to join these two from Underground. This is the same place where Kumbh ka Mela is held in every 12 years.

Religious Significance (CONTENT TAKEN FROM WIKIPEDIA) - The Triveni Sangam is believed to be the same place where drops of Nectar fell from the pitcher, from the hands of the Gods. So it is believed that a bath in the Sangam will wash away all one's sins and will clear the way to heaven. Devout Hindus from all over India come to this sacred pilgrimage point to offer prayers and take a dip in the holy waters. The sacred Kumbh Mela is held every 12 years on the banks of the Sangam. According to myth, the Prakrista Yajna was performed here by Lord Brahma. That is why Allahbad was known as Prayag in ancient times. Allahabad (Prayag) is also called Tirtha-Raja (Prayag Raj), king of all holy places. It is said that Lord Rama visited Allahabad when he was in exile.

Since there was no tourist and pilgrim crowd, got a good deal of the boat.50 Rs for to and fro ride for Single person.Usually they carry 10-15 person and charge 20-25 person.

Reached sangam in few mins, saw a boat already parked there, two guys sitting on it..looking like pandits.Boat rower confirmed that i can go inside the Triveni Sangam and take a dip.I didn't bothered taking out the clothes as i was completely drenched :P

Triveni Sangam - its quite shallow where the holy rivers meet

A message to all,Beware of the Pandits sitting there, they are all set to loot you.I fell into their ritual trap for the forefathers. And they tried to loot 1000 Rs as a Dakshina from me.I paid 20 Rs :P and left back to my boat and we headed back.I still had 1-2 hours of riding time left with me and i wasn't feeling tired at all.So i started for Banaras.Allahabad to Banaras road..NH2 is the part of Golden Quadrilateral and hence,it was in bit good condition,Little bumpy though.

I made it to Banaras by 10-11 PM.Curse the windy rains,Had tough time finding an accommodation.I wanted something near to the Kashi Vishwanath temple. But did not had good luck on that.Got an accommodation near the railway station for 300 INR.I was all drenched and shivering badly due to cold.

Had a tough second half today, took some rum to cure the cold and slept.

          Cheers

Shouldn't this sentence be repeated for each day end? or morning end? or evening start?

Remember your pledge. You will NOT ride before completing all the pending logs.

                      • Day 11 - Varanasi - Gorakhpur - Sunauli

In the first half of day 11 i took my bike to Yamaha service center for quick servicing.I told them my story that i need to travel ahead,I am travelling from so many days,I am in big trouble if i did not reach back in time etc etc..added some spice to it and they agreed to Service the bike on priority and give it back in 2 hours.

Better than the Yamaha Service center at Malad West.We have to take an appointment one week before to get the bike serviced.

Varanasi aka Banaras aka Kaashi...Which is blessed with the love of Holy Ganga.City which is reffered by many names.. "the city of temples", "the holy city of India", "the religious capital of India", "the city of lights", and "the city of learning."

At the banks of the Ganga, lies the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple of Lord Shiva. This is one of the Holiest of all the Shiva temple and contains one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.

First thing was to visit the temple, since any kind of electronic equipment was not allowed inside.I took a locker in one of the Prasad shop and put all stuff there (Camera,Mobile etc). There are multiple gates for entry, manky check points. It took an hour for me to do the darshan.Which was quite less in fact .I was expecting at least 2-3 hours .

On my way to the temple

Anyway after darshan i moved on to the Ghats to take a dip in Holy Ganga.

2-3 Hours passed and i went back to the Service center with all my luggage.I had to move towards Gorakhpur.Route was straight and easy with less traffic.I made it to Gorakhpur by evening.

After reaching Gorakhpur i realized that i am running low in cash.I started looking for the ATM on left and right while moving towards Nepal Border and finally the city ended.Didnt spotted any ATM on the road !!..Wait saw one ATM ahead,But there was huge queue outside the ATM machine.I waited for sometime and asked few peoples if there is any ATM on this way or not.Everybody told me there are 3-4 ATMs enroute. Also there are 3-4 ATMs at Sunauli. This gave me relief and i moved ahead towards Sunauli.

People in Gorakhpur did told me about the ATM's but they did not told me that they are closed most of the time.I just had 150 rs left in my pocket. And the only thought came in my mind is "If the ATM's at sunauli are in same situation then i had to sleep on Footpath for the night".Then again i thought, this is not new to me..I have an experience of sleeping in the bus stands which are present at the Pune - Banglore Highway with full gear ON.

A Bhojpuri song shooting in progress

Stopped at a point for a short break,Felt bit hungry,so looked for the cheapest option available.Saw Panipuri stall..Best thing to kill hunger

                        Chatwala - my Savior :P

Reached Sunauli around 8:00 PM.town was almost closed and was having no Electricity. All ATM's were closed, came to know that they are all closed opened after 06:00 PM and will open next day 10 AM,when bank starts.Superb Tragedy for me,Now i had to really stay at Footpath for the night.as i had only 120 Rs left with me.

But my Good luck was in my favor that day,I went to an Hotel to ask about the charges per night. And to my surprise the charges were very-very low.80 Rupees per night for Single Room
Hotel owner reply made my day.

I quickly checked in and went for sleep.Unlike other peaceful days it was Quite a dramatic day

                        Cheers
