Yes he's fine luckily, just a fractured leg in a plaster, nothing serious apart from that. All thanks to his safety gear & luckily the guy would never travel without proper gears. No idea about the bike though, but seems the bike is in bad shape. From first impressions, it seems like it was a Tanker Driver's fault somehow which led to the accident & hence he paid some 8 k as compensation in cash. Also agreed to transport the broken down bike to Jammu at his own cost in a truck. People from our side in mumbai are already on their way to Kargil, should reach tonight or tomorrow morning.

The accident you are talking about was a well known news to almost every biker in leh & around last month. It was really scary to hear about the accident from someone who was present personally during the accident. I had heard about them being flown away back to bangalore. Any idea about the vehicle who rammed into the girl's knee ? Police case done or any out of court settlement or no action at all ?


He's a strong determined fellow.. got knocked out in 1 such incident before but got up again on his feet sooner than expected. Only issue was that he is all alone. But people all around are so very helpful, i personally spoke to atleast 10 different localites in kargil involved with my friend's treatment & everyone seemed to be voluntarily helpful beyond normal expectations. Its just matter of 4-5 days more until he's back home safely if all goes as planned now. His bike shall be transported back as well in coming week.
