3rd July at 5.00 AM starting the trip from DEHRADUN and planning to go to SHIMLA (around 250kms) and night stay at SHIMLA.

4th July at 5.00 AM as per planned moving to MANALI(another 250kms) on the same day and night stay at MANALI.

The problem is that after night stay at MANALI, we are planning to move at around 6.00 in the morning, but we dont know how much we should travel on the first day on the way to LEH so that we can get sophisticated place to stay at night and which route to take, neither we know the road conditions (and same for the next day.

PLEASE Guys help me out ASAP.

Whats the weather now in Leh and surrounding places..?? is it raining..
i'm leaving on 22nd to Jammu.. starting my ride from there.

please update on weather conditions and temperature

Bike bookings for leh

I have 3 bikes booked at Manali. 2012 royal Enfield bullets 350cc (brand new bikes) which are available for renting out to leh or nearby. if anyone is interested please do call on 9766263295 or 7350459159 or 9881445704 for details. Also do pass the information on to your friends. I had to cancel my trip due to personal reasons.

i guess this means that the area is safe again...n this work pretty fast is case of some mishaps...

we are all set to leave tomorrow so hoping there are no more mishaps...

Hi i am Arun from Coimbatore- Tamilnadu.
We were planning to getting Leh'd this July. Unfortunately it seems my fellow members unable to make it this time.

However am still eager to getting Leh'd. Our plan was to ride from Delhi to Leh from July 2nd Week. I am ready to join with any of you guys if our plans coincide. Thanks.

BTW i have read your Leh travelogue. A very realistic and wonderfull log, really usefull for fellow riders and it further triggers to get leh'd

Guys, anyone knows about some unofficial emergency in Leh? I just heard it from someone (a Navy guy) about this..Is someone in contact with any of the groups riding to Leh right now and can get some information on this? We are set to leave on 27th night..
