I have been through jaipur - delhi stretch 20 days back... the condition cannot be said its superb because of n number of diversions. It has work in progress at many stretches because of which you cannot get a good average speed. You can imagine the condition where eight lane conversion is in progress and 60% work is completed.

      1) When to take Diamox?
      2) How quickly it starts working?
      3) Safe Dosage?
      4) As a precaution, can it be taken before AMS symptoms occur? If yes, then what will be the best time?
      5) Quantity to carry for a group of 4?
      6) Other medicines we'll be carrying will be for Fever, Body ache, headache, cough & cold, eye drops, stomach upset, betadine, baindaids, crepe bandages, dettol, cotton etc.

Also, if anyone can suggest any other medicines that would be helpful for a health trouble free trip?

      Thanks

Dimox – 250 mg to be taken one every day with breakfast after crossing 10000 ft.
Possible Side effect – parasthesia – tingling numbness in limbs.
Salt to be used in case of side effects observed.
It starts working in 15 odd minutes.

      Other suggested medicines :

Enterogermina – Zenica Astra – 5 ml plastic vial to be drank with 1 half glass of water and to be repeated once after 48 hours. Prevents travellers’ diarrhea.

Xplode – Emcure - energy drink – sachet of 40-50 ml to be added to 450 ml water.
Gives enough calories for a day.
You don't feel hungry due to cold so may skip lunch / dinner. One sachet a day provides sufficient calories.

Moisturiser & Sunscreen - They are absolutely must. Please coat your face, neck and hands with moisturiser and sunscreen at least every morning.

Are you referring to inserting a wire in the carb to limit the fuel flow, as mentioned in your trip log ?

After getting the carb cleaned at leh, the rest of the passes on Manali-Leh highway was conquered easily by the fazer. So the point here is make sure ur bike is in good condition and it would climb all the passes.

It is just a 15 minute job. Insert a wire inside main jet. . . voila . . . your FZ is ready to tackle the terrain

                            Around 220-230km's from Leh.
Yes, you can do Nubra, Pangong and Tso Moriri but I'm not sure if it all can be done in a single day. Never tried doing that.
If you want to ride to add tick marks to the list of places visited, then in one day you can do Leh - Nubra - Leh and in second day you can do Leh - Pangong - Tso Moriri (will be very tough though).

Thanks nav75. My question wasn't clear enough. I needed to ask that if Tso Moriri is near to either Pangong or Nubra so we can visit Tso Moriri along with one of them. To be precise, we have 3 days/5nights in Leh and we have to visit Khardung La, Pangong Tso, Nubra & Tso Moriri. If you can advice in line with this? I know it'll be a rush but you never know when you'll come back this far again...

                                Roughly speaking,
Nubra is a bit to North of Leh.
Pangong is a bit South-East and Tso Moriri is a bit south, of Leh.

The day you visit Khardungla, you can also visit Nubra (as the normally taken road to Nubra goes via Khardungla). If you want to do this in a day, it will be a tough and hard ride, so you might want to start from Leh as early as possible and minimize your breaks.

In one day, of normal riding, you can't do Leh - Pangong Tso - Tso Moriri but you can try. The issue though will be, in case you are falling short of time, you might not find a place for night halt easily. Also, the last 20 or so km's to Tso Moriri is bad and at place you might have to make you own way & doing this in dark will be hard.

I'll suggest, select a couple of places (drop Nubra) and spend quality time there.
Day 1: Leh - Khardung La - Leh (and site seeing in and around Leh).
Day 2: Leh - Pangong Tso (if its a clear sky night, must to have spend a night at Pangong).
Day 3: Pangong Tso - Tso Moriri.
