    No, you don't need to use/submit a GPS log of your ride. It's a nice to have thing for IronButt in order to validate and certify your ride. So long as you are collecting fuel bills and logging entries in ride log, you are good.

    I can't comment on the route since I am not familiar with it. Other than that, your plan to start in the evening is perfect for a SaddleSore. All the best!!

      Thanks. I was quite impressed with the iron butt certification rules before. But if they truly have changed their rules to the extent that you have mentioned, and that too only for India, that's too bad, almost discriminatory and there's no way I'm going out of my way and to all that effort. Never mind, I'll just ride to prove it to myself anyway

          Hmm.. so it seems a lot of water has flown under the bridge since my SS got certified last May!

            Reason for them to bring about these changes is they are seeing many indulging in fraud and producing counterfeit IBA certificates. I sent an email to IBA about a route query for bun burner and they responded and also included information about all these unwanted activities which have forced them to take some tight measures.
