Re: Leh Ladakh 2017 Planning Thread
Mostly 15-20 days. Lets plan the dates together and see how it works out. Also it would be great if you can get more riders so that we can form a group. Which bike will you ride? Also it would be great if we get experienced riders to accompany us because this will be my first time to Ladakh.Originally posted by llajayll View PostEven I m planning to go from Pune .. mostly last week of may or first week of june..What are your plans ?? Spangmik-Hanle
Hanle-Tso Moriri
Tso Moriri - Pang
Pang - Darcha
Darcha - Manali
Is it possible to do
Spangmik - Chushul
Chushul - Loma
Loma - Sumdo
Sumdo - Karzok
in a single day?

If you start very early in the morning then maybe by sunset you shall reach with minimal break. BUT, it defeats the whole purpose of the trip then. These are the most beautiful places you will traverse on the circuit and should be given a bare minimum 2 days.
Spangmik - Hanle
Hanle - Korzok is what I would recommend.

Of course you can. I have read 4 articles on people who have done it on their Bajaj M80, Bajaj Chetak, Honda Activa and a girl on her Scooty.Originally posted by Neeraj_Mann View PostFirst time solo rider. Re: Leh Ladakh 2017 Planning Thread
Hey guys!
Below is my plan for this year. Need your suggestions and advice:
Day 1: Delhi to Manali.
Day 2: Manali to Sarchu
Day 3: Sarchu to Leh
Day 4: Leh in and around. Get permits.
Day 5: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La. Ride up to Panamik Village and then head to Hunder Village for night stay.
Need advice on the above about fuel, places to stay
Day 6: Hunder-Turtuk-Leh
Is this doable in a day?
Day 7: Leh to Pangong Tso via Chang La, spend the night at Spangmik Village.
Day 8: Ride up to Man and Merak Village, before heading back to Leh.
Day 9: Leh to Tso Moriri via Upshi and Chumathang. Visit the Chumathang hot springs en route.
Day 11: Leh to Kargil, en route visit Indus and Zanskar Confluence, Gurdwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill and Lamayuru Monastery.
Day 12: Kargil to Srinagar
Day 13: Srinagar in and around. Can be skipped depending upon the political situation.
Day 14: Srinagar to Patnitop
Day 15: Patnitop to Delhi

Leh-Pangong-Moriri-Pang is impossible unless you have provision of carrying fuel for 750+ km per bike or buy in black wherever available. Moreover, no ILPs for Chusul are being issued. I had the same plan, gave up because of the fuel and Chushul issue. Now planning to make Leh as the base and visit all the places.Originally posted by AshishTamhane View PostWe are planning for Ladakh for the first time this august. Two guys on a Pulsar 180 and a CBR 250.
We have prepared an initial draft route of the trip and as such need help on if this is actually doable or not. We are looking forward to camping with our own tents.

I am still trying to figure out how to stock that much fuel on my CBR 250.Originally posted by rubber_stamp_champ View PostLeh-Pangong-Moriri-Pang is impossible unless you have provision of carrying fuel for 750+ km per bike or buy in black wherever available. Chushul issue is recent update?
