Re: Leh Ladakh 2017 Planning Thread

Does anyone know what are the collection timings for the parcel office in New Delhi Railway Station?
Can the bike be collected at any time or is there a specific time window? What about public holidays?

I plan to parcel my bike by train and will be reaching Delhi by flight on the night of 24th.
25th is Ganesh Chaturthi, so will I be able to collect my bike?
If you don't look back when you park and walk away, you bought the wrong bike.

Actually, September is one of the best times to visit Ladakh region.
As for water crossing, they are worse in July/August.

              Ride safe and have fun.

That's correct. Sep is best in terms of water crossing. However the weather does get cold especially in morning and evening. On a bike, wind chill lowers it even further.
As long as one can manage the cold, Sep is better than July/Aug.
