      @Biru: count me 99% (I hate that 1%) Now need to start on the finance part...
      One more thing, try to recruit prople with good touring experience or you might have problems. Thats the only reason I have turned down riding offers from BS, MRC, MBC. Quite nice people, wanted me to ride with them to Leh

      @DK: Just drop IN mate, we'll try to recruit Ketan as well & Razor is ready for anytime to Leh...

      @Inder: Just come, bunk the office, how many times have you bunked anything since collage?

      This will be a helluva ride if all the people mentioned above are ready to come, includes me!

          What do you guys thing would be a esitmated finance need considering that so many people talk about it!

                  Rains will be a problem in other cities. Not in Leh/Himalayas. Perfect time is May end or June first week.

                      Either ride in June or ride in September. Avoid July and August. If not the rains, the crowd and the expenses would kill you.

                          My only concern is to be back by 18th June... hence my not-so-secret-plan was to flag off from Mumbai\Pune from 21st to 26th onwards

                            Ha toh theek hai na, even if Rohtang is snowed out (Although it will be open by may end), go via Srinagar. Zozila opens up in April. You can come back via Manali.

                                Inder, it will only rain till Manali. Not beyond that. And then some rain perhaps in Leh. Rains during the monsoons, in July and most of August.
