Only thing you need to do with a carburetor is make the jet size small either by installing smaller jets or inserting electric wire inside the main jet. All hiccups stop.
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

We did that, but no use. Passion just ignored it & kept climbing & hiccuping @ 20-30 kmph

What bike are you riding? No matter which one, you might wana check on the below items:
            • Oil change(gear+engine...)
            • clutch plates check(let go if in great condition otherwise change)
            • if disc brakes, check on the fluid and change pads, if drum, change shoes
            • Carb, make sure you are not running on too lean mixture
            • headlight check
            • check for any kinda electrical problems (short-circuits, workout wires, proper battery connectivity)
            • chain, sprocket check
            • clutch, accelerator wire check

Pretty much what I did check...

my bike [rtr 160 (carb)] gave around 50-55 kmpl on the trip from mumbai-leh-mumbai! but keep in mind 40-45kmpl and calculate accordingly!

not sure of the things you need mate.. currently dont have any, maybe other members can help
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

                            • I was one of the many bikers who were stranded in Leh.. After all nature has it's own way.
We had left for Pang on 4th August and got stuck at Pang due to extensive landslides in the region. And I got to hear from ppl arnd that Pang is one place which rarely gets any rainfall. Thankfully we made the right decision to return back to Leh the next day otherwise we would have been stuck there for god knows how many days.
Waited in Leh for 3-4 days for the climate to change. But when it seemed that there was no way out, had to take a flight out of Leh on 9th Aug. Booked Chinar Motor Lines to transport the bike to Delhi. I wish the Manali roads open soon so that out bikes reach Delhi before the roads are closed for the season. Still keeping fingers crossed, as this time the weather has really been very unpredictable.
Some pics of Leh, after the disaster.

p.s : would be writing a log soon enough. This surely was an experience to remember( almost dying of freezing cold, staying in Army Transient camps/ RCC huts with 18 ppl in one room..damn.. I'll remember these 16 days forever !)
