AFAIK Tuffup is not in the tyre, its in the tube!
As for the conventional method, I have heard that dismantling the tubeless tyre from the rim&fixing it like an ordinary tube type puncture would spoil the tyre&it can only be used as a tube type, since the tubeless tyre sealing with the rim gets defunct after that.
Can anyone throw some light on this?

    • My P150 need new tyres, but which one?

      Hi All,

I have a P150 (2004 model) has run 33k kms. I plan to get new the best available tyres both front and back, but would not like to up size tyre profiles. What options do I have?

Also, I recently moved to Jayanagar, bangalore, so which service station would you recommend?

      Thanks guys

and dunlop will just outlast michelin in the no of kms before it wears out.
other than that it excels in nothing.
IMHO, Duude! i never said it is not a good tyre.. it is extremely as good as one can take it to..
i said as per his T&C.

Tuff Up, does not do any harm, but gives you more confidence.

@Sam 92: Go for a Tubeless, and put a Tuff up tube in it, when punctured,it will automatically fix it.
if not remove the tube, put the nozzle and make it tubeless.
P.S: For that carry a Nozzle always along with you,in your toll kit only.

            • Pirelli demon Sports Vs Michelin Sirac

I have clocked 35K on my stock MRF tyres of Pulsar 150 with alloy wheels.
The tyre does looks like it can run 6-7K Kms more before geting bald, but the grip is substantially reduced and during braking it feels very scarry.
Also my daily running is increased now, and I travell more then a 100Kms per day. I am looking for chaanging the tyres, I would have blindly opted for M45, but they are not avaiable in 17" option.
And till now zeroed on Pirelli sports demon and Michelin Sirac.
Can you guys shed some light on the pros and cons of these tyres.
My prefrence is good road grip during normal riding and while braking, and in my travel 80% wil be road and 20% will be some of rough roads with bad patches.

yes, tuffup do make the handling a lil hard, they are a bit heavy.
And about the the tubeless tyre with tube thing; i changed my front tyre with a tubeless one but also with a tube inside. Their's no problem in it.
It would be easy to handle the puncture then, but in the case of tubeless, puncture making is hell.
And ya, once the tubeless got removed from the rim, it's not easy to fix it back again.
                Why take LIFE too SERIOUS,
You won't ESCAPE it ALIVE anyway !!

                  • hmmmm......

the traditional way of openin up the tube tyre n fixin it from inside.... yes it does happen here,,, n lot lot better than the tubeless puncture kit... anyways ... thats my opinion...

apart from that...... i realli have nvr used a tuff up ..... so my views are based on wat i have widely heard.....

Budget I can stretch to 5K for a set of front and rear one.

I have not driven on either of them, so can't commen as per your confidence, but I saw on their respective websites and others too that, Michelin Sirac and Pirelli Sport Demon are very much for Road driving.
