Well insted of opting for just wider tyres opt for wider and flatter tyres!
Wider and flatter tyre would have lesser leaner curves hence they would give more grip even when half the tyre is in touch wid the ground coz of more flatter surface area.
Now i hope u wouldnt ask for diffrence btw the wider tyres and flatter and wider tyres!
Still for ur info here's the example..

      Wider- 110/80 or 120/100
      Wider fatter - 120/80 or 140/80

Good. Generally better grip than MRF or TVS tyres.

Just get something with better grip... a little softer compound tyres instead of going for bigger tyres.

Yaaa U think thats the reason. Becuase earlier too the same tyre set was there, amd i wasn't facing any such issue. I suppose now the grip is reduced and also the rubber has hardened with time(3 yrs 35K). So they just give stiffer repsonse instead of biting.

          Thanks for inputs buddies.

Why is that there is only one tyre available in 17in??
The Mumbai dealer told that brand new tyres are coming in 17in in a few months. Is that true ??

                  • What is the best front tire for the Pulsar 220?

My requirements are it should not skid.
I don't do lot of cornering nor I lean too much.

great news! so whoz up for tyre hunting tomo?? winzee wat say?

is it possible to reserve any tyre

@gogreen: which shop in mumbai has these tyres? sign tyres?
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

Have anyone tried 3.00 18 M45 as Front tyre for ZMA

one of my friend has got 3.00 18 M45 on his ZMA and he complains that the bike handling on sharp turns have gone for a toss

AFAIK - The design of M45 is meant for rear tire. It is obvious that handling will hamper in cornering.

front and rear is written on 3.00 18 M45 tyre and i read in BcmTouring that 3.00 18 M45 is a dual purpose tyre
